The Scott Report

I have gotten big and strong without discussing the science of my approach. Meanwhile, I have seen many that could discuss the science not get big and strong.

Lifting weights really isn’t that complicated.

But doing it right can be. Anybody can charge in the gym and train like the Barbarian Brothers and make great gains if you have great genetics like they did. Most of us don’t have superior genetics yet we still think we can train that way and most of us don’t make the gains we could if we trained smarter.

I very much disagree, and I have often found that the people expressing otherwise are trying to sell me something.

So you think there is no right or wrong way to train ? Anything goes?
Scott

Is that what you genuinely believe I think based off what I have written? Or is this arguing in bad faith?

I’ll start a training journal of 30-10-30 from the new ebook in a few weeks. I’ll keep my full training journal and weekly weights and measurements. I agree with you, it would be nice to see some full training journal of other guys from the Darden section. I’m still pretty new here and just trying to contribute where I can.

I’m not sure what you’re saying here?
Scott

Do you genuinely believe I feel there is no right or wrong way to train and that anything goes?

No I don’t believe you feel that way but you did say what you said?
Scott

I’ll check out your log. Impressive you’ve kept it going for so long! Seems like a great way to help stay accountable!

Then I don’t understand why you would ask me that question. It seems like arguing in bad faith.

@davemccright Awesome dude. I’ve actually had a training log online since 2004, but this one here stems back to when I was recovering from ACL surgery.

Working out right can be hard . You dissagreed with that saying anyone who say so is trying to sell you something . That does happen more than not but never the less training right can be hard to get right .
Scott

You’ve been at this a while! I’m impressed! I love the comic art too! Big fan of Gary Frank’s Hulk

I in no way, shape or form disagreed with that and take significant offense to you attempting to twist my words like that.

I stated it was not complicated. That is WORLDS apart from not being hard.

Careful what you wish for😋

Most people just log to keep themselves accountable and a bit of camaraderie.

Also getting too invested/too much specific advice can be a thankless task
… Would you change what you are doing if some kid in his 20s told you have it all wrong/ Doggcrap is a far superior form of HIT/Dan John has much better advice for older trainees etc etc? :man_shrugging:

I’ve Been around long enough to have tried just about everything out there but if some kid told me I have it all wrong I don’t doubt he’d be right . I’ve got very little to show for all the years I’ve lifted. There’s so many variables in what we do that there’s no telling why sometimes things work and sometimes they don’t .

Sorry If I offended you, no offense was intended. You obviously know what you’re doing to be able to workout every day and produce the fine physique you’ve produced.

Apology accepted dude.

Have you tried ZMA? Absolutely beastly supplement! Best sleep ever on that stuff and pretty good dreams too. Helps with the home entertainment centre too, if you follow my drift
