Most of you from Toronto probably know California Sandwiches. They make the best veal and meatball sandwiches. An almost obscene amount of meat is packed into a freshly-baked kaiser roll (onions and mushrooms optional). It’s one of the best things you’ll ever eat and it costs 8 bucks.

I’ve heard of it, but actually never been.
There’s one by my house, I’ll have to give it a try.

What other restaurants do you really like in the GTA?
You’ll love the place! There is so much meat there that the restaurant has been scientifically-proven to repel vegans from 50-75 yards, much like a citronella candle does to mosquitos.
If you go, get the veal. The meatball sandwich is really good too. I didn’t like the spicy sausage one as much. Make sure to bring cash as they don’t take debit.
I discovered an awesome all-you-can-eat sushi place called “Spoon and Fork”. There’s one in Oakville and a bigger one on the Queensway in Etobicoke. It’s about 22$ on the weekend and they use much better fish than some of the other places I’ve tried.
Went to a place on Bloor West recently called “The Yellow Griffin Pub” which specializes in burgers. They have over 50 on the menu. The one I had was phenomenal. I didn’t try it, but the one they are best known for is topped with peanut butter (!).
And we have the same sammich tastes my friend…thank god today is cheat day!
I turns out the hotel I’m working on is less than 2 miles from there. I had an awesome sandwich. Hot pastrami ,swiss, hot cherry peppers, pickles and mustard. I’m hitting that place every time I get called out to the hotel.
