The Saga of The Charming Albino

I figgered since I’m only going up by 2.5 to 5 lbs per lift it would get pretty tedious to have a video for every one of these - all of them looking the same as the 2.5 to 5 lbs before. I’m planning on vidding every 25 lb gain or so.

Plus…my camera is in the truck my wife takes to work. The dog ate the battery and my hand is numb so I can’t work the camera.

Ignore the fact that I don’t have a dog, k?[/quote]

k

come on… we all need to be video whores.

on the front squats off pins. i actually have more power if i set up with a more narrow stance than my regular full ROM squat. using the quads to initiate the lift from that low is more effective for me. just a thought.

I’ll give it a try. I suspect keeping my knees out will be a challenge on that one.

Might as well cop to it: I’ve bailed on the conditioning.

I’m enjoying watching my lifts go up too much to spend energy getting in shape just yet. I’m going to defer it until the last 2 weeks before I need it - so I’ll start conditioning in two weeks.

nice work…

conditioning is actually easy to pick up- for your purposes of being a migrant worker…

food intake is where I see I am beat up.

tempurature and weight are good too but I am not that anal.

you don’t really need to keep the knees out as much as pushing out on them throughout the movement.

How do I hold on to the bar if I do that?

Yesterday must have been GP day in SF, because when I was downtown in the process of helping a friend move back into her s.o.'s house we saw a buck nekkid fella in work boots walking down the street, junk whacking back and forth in the sunlight as he sauntered down the sidewalk.

Now, I’ve seen a buncha stuff downtown - even a skinny, fully bearded, balding 60 year old guy in a pink tube top and a floral skirt, but I have never seen anyone take it that far. Makes me want to treat my eyes to some bleach and a toothbrush.

I guess he wasn’t completely naked. He did have a hat.

Gee… That makes my capri pants guys seem pretty tame… I’m going to delete my post now…

be careful pale one… don’t drink the water in SF. that’s one weird city.

Fortunately for me, I live somewhat south of the city and don’t encounter that level of weird (much) any more. I have stories from working graveyard shift in the nudey-show/drug-seller part of town about 15 years ago.

Standing Overhead Pin Press (pin 15 - top of forehead)
barx15
135x8
155x3
175x3
195x2
215x1,1,1 (PR +5 lbs)
195x5 (PR + 5 lbs)

High Anderson Squats (4" abv parallel)
135x6
225x3
275x3
315x2
355x2(!),1 (PR + 5lbs)
320x5 (PR +5 lbs)

Chinups
BW 5x2 sets
+90 1x7 sets (10 sec apart)

Great session tonight. I got that 1st rep @ 355, took it down and felt another one in me - so I took that one too. 320 was easier than 315 the last time I did these as well. Didn’t feel like doing chinups tonight so I just did some singles all close together.

Congrats on the PR’s. It’s great to have multiple PR’s in one session (Yeah, yeah, that’s what SHE said…)

re: SF. Yeah, you gotta watch out for dudes swingin’ their junk around. They might flick some ‘man lovin’ on you. You’re safe if you walk around the city in a full body condom, though.

Holy PRs, Batman! Great work, DCA.

See, this is why I live in the South Bay. At least our crazies wear pants!

Impressive PR’s DCA…

I think it goes without saying that here in Alabamistan we not not have such “colorful” inhabitants.

The evangelicals drove them out with fire and snakes.

Congrats on the PRs. And from what I have heard isn’t every day a GP day in SF?

Thanks PeteS.

On certain special days the laws are relaxed for this group in a way that is not done for anyone else and all the inculcated mores of civilization are abandoned, unremarked and unpunished. Turns into a Whoopee Worm festival.

“Not that there’s anything wrong with that.”

‘Ceptin’ I have a kid I don’t want to have see that sort of stuff.

Good prs. Haven’t done pin presses but seems to me they would be harder because you’re starting using more tricep than delt. The 195 x 5 is very impressive.
Having been stationed at Travis AFB, trained off shore at Treasure Island, and enjoyed Chinatown often, I appreciate the “uniqueness” of San Fran.

I started reading your thread and was blown away by this post. I have seen some crazy stuff in NYC too. This huge guy with long black hair and a full beard would ride the subway often. He had a Darth Vader cape on and carried a stick with a spoon on the top. He would board the train downtown and pound the stick to the floor and when he got every ones attention he would say you must pray and don’t forget the spoon.
Your training is looking great and your thread is always rocken.
