Felt really crummy today. Surprised by the PR’s altogether. Got the 365 and was really excited and then a little voice said, “Try for 375…no 385.” And then that went up.
Excellent day. I don’t get 30 lb PRs all that often.[/quote]
whoa baby - the charming one is kicking butt and taking names! although you may lose you super powers after that final comment on your 385 -
i posted this already on the PR thread, but awesome job man… those are really low too. the next time i rotate the zerchers in, i’ll be doing them from a low position as well.
a few things that i’ve learned about doing zerchers- if you find it hard to get the bar moving, get your feet as far forward under the bar as possible. this will put the weight on your heels and give you better leverage to initiate the lift.
-as you break it off the pins, immidiately lean back and force the hips forward fast.
again… great job!!
i keep say’n this but zerchers are THE BEST core movement there is.
See, here’s the thing. Those two exercises with vids are not really PR’s unfortunately. I did 170x3 MP a few months (and pounds ago) and the pullups match an old PR. I’m going to add a set next time and make it a real PR because I’ve never done more than 3 sets at that weight and reps.
But I want proof up that I really do press what I press and pull what I pull.
