Wait a week or so and that MUCH will become a “SHIT-TON”.
But simply crunching the numbers Bauber is a 300 pound guy while X is closer to 250 at the same height. Difficult to compare their leanness levels since someone like Bauber will hold a lot of water (for various reasons) that he’ll drop the last week or so before getting on stage.
Anyway, they’re both big.
gregron wrote:
It makes me lol that you guys are really emphasizing how MUCH more muscle Bauber has.
Not “much” but “MUCH”!!! Hahah

To be fair, I wasn’t just using “MUCH” so I could embellish or utilize a hyperbole, but was going by the measurements and past photos of each poster. X has stated that, at his biggest, his arms were “over 20 inches”. Bauber has measured his at 22.5 very recently. X’s are most likely somewhat smaller from losing weight. So, that puts Bauber’s arms at around 3 or more inches bigger than X’s. Furthermore, X is known for having a lagging lower body. He has stated himself that his legs were at “about 30 inches” at his biggest.
Once again, they are most likely smaller from having lost weight at this point. Bauber’s legs, if I’m not mistaken, were measured at around 30 inches recently as well. So, Bauber’s legs are probably a couple of inches bigger than X’s currently. Not to mention, Bauber’s calves dwarf X’s. What I’m getting at with all of this is that Bauber’s measurements are much more impressive at the same height as X, leading one to believe that he is in possession of “MUCH more muscle”, as I said earlier.
Lastly, go and look at pics of Bauber when he was much leaner at around 235 and playing ball (if I’m not mistaken), and you can see that, even at that point, he was comparable to X’s size. So, I’d wager he does have MUCH more muscle at this point.
These are from May. So, it’s safe to assume he’s bigger now. Apparently, Bauber’s calves were only a half of an inch bigger than X’s. However, he has been hitting them hard, as can be seen in his calves thread and has stated that he’s put a few inches on them. Also, turns out his legs are 4 or more inches bigger than X’s. So, yeah. “MUCH” is applicable here.

I think it would be safe to assume that they had similar diets. “Like father like son” and all that.
Are you saying that you think the rock is all natural?
While I’m sure they share great genetics and probably both ate a bunch, it wasn’t how many meals a day they each ate that ultimately determined their excellent (in their primes) physiques.
Rock admits to use in his old autobiography, and anyone who thinks he packed on the ridiculous amount of muscle he did once he signed to film ‘Pain and Gain’ (after being much closer to 2 bills than 3 for man other roles, and as a man in his 40’s I believe) was due to his eating pattern is missing a common variable that was also most likely shared by Father and Son.
(posting up Rock’s pic with the “6 meals” attributable comment is just another bad example IMO)

Exactly. It’s no knock on him or any of the impressive physiques posted in this thread.
It still takes insane work ethic, extreme dedication and once in a lifetime genetics to look like that. Drugs or not.
Hell, I could take twice as much and would never be his size lol

I was actually speaking more in a general sense. I don’t really have a whole lot invested in the current discussion because I compete in a weight class based sport.

Oh no doubt. The guy obviously has the fire to push himself as hard as he does, day after day, for what has been the majority of his life. I don’t think anyone should ever attribute such a physique to just one variable (although some people like to), although you can’t ignore the impact that such a variable can potentially have in the right situation.
I got my “Finally the Rock has come back…to Wrestlemania” t-shirt when I attended earlier this year. I follow his inspirational FB posts (inspirational yet humble), I bought his book, heck, I even saw Scorpion King in theaters, but I also don’t delude myself about certain things. (wish I was half black/half somoan -lol).

WTF kid, are you also going to be oiling up Bauber and X for their climactic showdown??? you seem to love these two guys lol

Ha ha ha the rock is the man. I love all his stuff.
So you follow him on Instagram? He just posted a thing the other day about being on day 160 (or something like that) if his insane diet and workout routine with 120+ days still to go along with a 4:30 am photo that was post cardio lo

Man, most of his posts have my name in them. Go check his post history.

X, speaking of “butt hurt”, it seems you get “butt hurt” at stuff that is simply a part of living life. You are shocked that SOME people don’t like what you have to say SOME of the time, as if it’s something out of the ordinary for most grown men… especially for those who talk a lot. Not everyone will like what you have to say all of the time. It’s like that for me, and every other man who steps foot outside of his home and deals with people, unless they are a total sap!
So I ask, what is so shocking about people not liking what you have to offer or say all the time? Secondly, who the hell are you that you have to be treated with exceeding ingratiation?
You are a 250 to 300 pound (lost track of your weight monitoring) CONFRONTATIONAL and highly opinionated man who has to be handled with kid gloves.
Have you ever dealt with the public at large? Do you like how everyone looks and behaves or what they say? If not, how do you get over it?
I loved this post by the way. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me on a topic. That is what good discussions are made from.
But let’s get serious…all you are doing is talking about subjective arbitrary issues that you know nothing about…like my “ego”…or your own perception of how much muscle I have or whatever.
When you want to discuss the actual topic, I will be right there ready to treat your posts with as much respect as they are due.
However, as long as you spend time trying to argue who is leaner or who is more muscular…you can take care of that on your own…with much parody from me.

But…what have your gains been like since you switched? Could you post some pictures of that progress?
I am pretty interested in those who say they gain a ton of muscle by not eating more often. I just want to see if this is actually showing to be true in the long run.
In general, I agree with this:
T3hPwnisher wrote:
I actually don’t try both out. If I try something, and I make progress, I generally don’t change anything. It’s only when I stop progressing that I make changes.
So like, if I ate 6 meals a day and grew bigger, that would be the end of it for me.

CircaThursday wrote:
Professor if a person is truly busy do you think that a protein shake can be substituted for a meal once in a while?
I am just a tad worried that you weren’t aware that “protein shakes” are usually counted as “one meal”.
If I eat 3 solid meals a day and three protein shakes, I consider that eating 6 times.
The only reason to eat more often is if the meals become too large.
What about if the goal is to BECOME “too large”?
I think we spent several pages in this thread discussing that the number itself isn’t the issue, but if your goal is to one day carry enough muscle mass for people to gawk at, this was a look at what that lifestyle takes long term.
Most of these guys have not been lifting for over a decade. They have no clue what it takes to stay in this long enough to build that kind of size…or to see further progress after doing this for a long time.
I mean, let’s get serious…most of the guys I knew most serious in their teens and 20’s drop out of the gym once life hits them in the face and they have kids and get a real job with needs to pay big bills.
This isn’t about how “6 meals a day” is magic.
It is about looking at what the truly big guys who did this long term did to stay in that path.
I don’t see the problem. Anyone who has the potential to be a great bodybuilder will know it within their first couple years of lifting, and the ones who don’t really have the potential, but wants it bad enough, is going to do the research, do the drugs, and eat the food required to get big.
So who are you making the thread for? The number of views is not indicative of a whole bunch of newbs being enlightened as to the realities of bodybuilding, it’s due to people coming in to:
Professor X bash.
For the entertainment value of watching PX get bashed.
… and it’s the same people again and again, isn’t it…
btw not trying to be a dick, that’s just the reality of the situation as I see it.

New account since I forgot the password to my old one. Been around for years though.
I understand why people don’t like him… I also understand he has a lot to offer from the perspective of a young skinny dude wanting to be big, and I would listen to him if I was in that boat. I just don’t understand why he keeps making these threads when they all play out exactly the same. Again, the number of views is due to the drama, not because it’s a good thread.

So lots of food doesn’t have anything to do with eating all day?
