No one can prove he took anything. You have the word of a fucking dealer who testified only under threat of federal prosecution.

Rainjack -

I agree with you about not trusting McNamee, he is a shady character. But what about Andy Pettitte? They were friends for a long time and I see no reason for him to lie.

Rainjack, how dare you ignore me! After all we’ve been through.[/quote]

I thought about your post while watching Pettitte’s mound performsnce on Sport Center a few minutes ago.

I don’t think Pettitte’s word is enough to convict. I know if I was a Federal Prosecutor, I’d damn sure like to go into court with a little more than the word of a former friend.

You have to remember - Pettitte admitted to HGH use (and anyone who knows anything about HGH knows whoever administered the cycle was incompetent). He could be torn apart on the stand and leave more than enough reasonable doubt. I doubt Andy would know a vial of B12 from a vial of GH, and he would be forced to prove he saw Clemens injecting HGH.

Clemens will probably never see the inside of a court room on any criminal charge.

But, he’s already been found guilty, and ass raped by George fucking Mitchell, and Bud “can I fuck up baseball any worse” Selig.

i read all your posts, then realized you were from texas. now i understand.

bad jokes aside, i agree with much of what you’ve said. as much as i never liked the guy for backstabbing three different teams (and i hate both the red sox and yankees!), innocent until proven guilty. no one seems to be willing to think this way.

mufasa, good thread.

I have never been a fan of Clemens - or Bonds for that matter.

Since Operation Raw Deal, and the complete bowel movement the justice system has taken on individual rights, and due process - I root for anyone that is facing federal charges regarding steroids.

People want to think we are so much more refined and intelligent than we were 100-200 years ago, yet at the same time completely ignore the witch hunts that are going on right now.

And the media is the one leading the charge.

I thought this thread was going to be a about the Houston Rockets, But that you had just misspelled, Tracey McGradys name.

Tha’t exactly what I thought.

Re: Clemens – his is super rich, he is arrogant, his lawyer, who is a well-known criminal defense attorney in Texas, is goading him on and probably cleaning up in the process.
