She’s phenomenal in it, @ouroboro_s. It’s one of those rare movies that’s both poignant and very, very funny. I hope you can find it. It was showing at a small independent theater near me, not at the big cineplexes.
I’ve heard it’s not getting a wide release until after the new year.

It was pretty good but any movie with superman and batman I want to be really great.
The plot for Justice league seems very similar to the new Avengers. Some powerful alien comes to earth to collect some magical objects to get even more power.

Saw Three Billboards. First two acts are excellent; went off the rails a bit (well, more than a bit) in the third. Great performances by Frances McDormand and Woody Harrelson.
Took two of my girls to see Coco. Pretty formulaic and predictable (what Disney movie isn’t?), but I enjoyed it and the kids loved it. The dog was pretty funny, and I liked the music. I’m sure I’ll have the whole soundtrack memorized in 2 months.
Watched Wonder Woman, I thought it was pretty cool, will be watching it again, it was cool to see a strong female lead in a super hero movie with a male as a supporting actor. Thought it was done well.
Watching The Punisher series on Netflix…damn, they captured the darkness of Frank Castle very well, excited for the 2nd season.
Re-watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Spiderman Homecoming. I’m not sure why, but I enjoyed both of them much more the second time around. Maybe my expectations were too high the first time, idk…

Agreed. The Punisher is the only comic I read with any regularity as a kid. I’m happy someone finally did a properly gritty, dark take on the character. Bernthal is not perfect for the role physically, but he pulls it off with sheer force of will.
I’m going back and watching season 2 of Daredevil now.

It’s cool because she’s a superhero, and it’s a good movie? It follows pretty much the exact dynamic of other hero movies (main hero and mildly humorous and effective side kick) and it was cool to see it work with the female lead and be accepted. Is it not cool?
Re: the punisher, yeah force of will… I like that, it nails his acting on the head for the role.
