Watched Venom and started Hawkeye.
Venom is very poor
Hawkeye is entertaining, but nothing more for now. I was kind of expecting more after watching Loki and Wanda’s Vision.
Really trilled for the Matrix and The Witcher season 2.

Annnnnd they’ve ruined it
Good sitcoms like HIMYM, two and a half Men, friends and that 70s show won’t pass in today’s day and era.
Good comedy like that is hard to come by. They’ll make this all “woke”… and the shit that was so depraved and politically incorrect you couldn’t help but laugh (in himym and two and a half men specifically) will be entirely absent
They’re producing a sequel to that 70’s show… that 90s show, and it’s almost certainly gonna suck.
I feel the same. Hawkeye is entertaining, but not great IMO. Needs to be a bit faster paced.
Check out the Falcon and the Winter Soldier show though. I think that might be my favorite of the series.
Reminds me, I think the new season of the Witcher is coming soon. I enjoyed that show a lot. I think my wife enjoys it more because of Mr. Caville though.
Consider for a moment what those of us that were around for ‘All In The Family’ etc. are thinking…
Comes out this weekend. I am looking forward to it too, but probably won’t be able to watch it until after Christmas. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the honest trailers youtube channel for their take on the Witcher.
I’ve seen some of the honest trailers, but not that one.
My fiancee also watches it mainly for Cavil. But after some explanation on what the heck is going on in season one, she liked it.

I’m not sure I know the difference between a good Nic Cage movie and a bad one but I know what I like.
And I like movies with hyppie murdering cults, demonic bikers, and Nic Cage going beserk, doing cocaine and and a bad batch of LSD along the way, and then going MORE beserk.
Also, theres a chainsaw duel.
Say what you will about Nic Cage, but no one could play these roles as good as him…
I would probably need 100 years to go through Cage’s filmography at this point, but after this movie and Color out of Space, I might just try. I’m sure there’s a few more gold nuggets between all the turds.
Agreed. It’s like they wrote the script with only Nic Cage in mind. I can’t think of anyone else doing that silly smile at the end LMAO.
And, for guys who haven’t watched it, this is not one of Nic’s silly movies where he just goes nuts for no real reason like the Ghost Rider sequel. It’s a legit good movie with top notch filmmaking and they made use of Nic’s acting abilities perfectly.
However, if you’re not something that’s kinda minimalistic in an “arthouse movie” kind of way (I don’t think that was their intent), you might want to skip it. But, relax, it’s not fucking The Lighthouse. The aforementioned chainsaw fight would have given me my money’s worth if I had watched it in the cinema llol.
If I ever apply for a job as a film critic, this will be the first sentence on my cover letter.
By the way, the first Die Hard will always be the most iconic installment in the series, but Die Hard with a Vengeance will always be the best.
Funny thing is I had this conversation with my wife yesterday … well really it was me telling her these things while she politely ignored me
The Matrix - the movie is a straight up criticism to Warner Brothers and left wing propaganda made in an art form. Due to originality a 7/10. Take the red pill.
The new one? Do you know anything about its director? Lana Wachowski is very much left wing, and despises the alt-right’s interpretation of the “red pill”. Interpret the movie or enjoy it how you want, but if you think the movie is a criticism of left-wing propaganda, by a trans woman who now claims the entire series was about trans identity, I don’t know what to tell you.
Lol I though the same. They probably just mention they want to cast Nicholas Cage in the pitch and that’s it. Everyone knows immediately what’s up.
They were probably like
-“ok so Nic is only shooting 10 or 20 movies this year so we know he’s available. Let’s work with that in mind then”.
-“How about the main character starts off sort of quiet but something sets him off and he flips the fuck out?”
-“That’s gold, dude. Let’s go for it.”
Yeah, I know. I was surprised as well. But the message is different. Especially the Warner Brothers critique on wokeism in office is so obvious. I wont spoil the ending and make a more solid case just to win the argument. But the ending is pretty much right wing stance and a realization it seems for the author. It is entertaining so watch it.
I appreciate the no-spoiler nod. I’ll watch it and get back to you. I’ll say I’m pretty skeptical, and that she was vocal about using this movie to take back the red-pill interpretation that the right wing has adopted, so it would make a lot more sense if that was just how you interpreted it, instead of it being what she intended, but I obviously have to make that determination for myself.
Don’t Look Up - another political satire. It is mainly a media criticism, but there are a lot of mixed messaging criticizing literally politics, media, and corporate figures, there is even a Biden sniff and Trump figure and a Faucci figure. There is no forced agenda in this movie it goes all in on everyone. It is a message to look up to the real scientists and doctors and do not filter trough media and government their message.
Also original and entertaining, a solid 7/10.
This is basically what I picture when dudes who live on the internet use the Matrix to defend their right-leaning beliefs.
I’m not referring to you, or saying that right-leaning beliefs are wrong/bad, just that dudes use that movie, as well as the newer Joker movie, and probably some others (Fight Club? Maybe these are all mentioned in that video, haven’t seen it in a while) to somehow provide guidance for their lives.
It is all good and not fun. These are obviously some woke guys, bad at comedy and impressions. I am not sure what you mean with red pilled and etc. The red pill in the Matrix 4 symbolises traditional values and an escape from the Matrix, which is presented as corporate and woke. I can’t say much more in order not to spoil.
