The Return of Even More Movies You've Watched This Week III

We’ll have to agree to disagree lol. I think Robocop was way better than the average action movie but it’s mostly the violence and gore people remember. Starship Troopers made people not notice the fact that BOTH LEADS - Casper Van Dien and Denise Richards - can’t act for shit because of the direction and the characters were so well written. And that’s just one of it’s achievements. Plus, Michael Ironside got cut in half and it was hilarious.

I think Paul Verhoeven really hates Michael Ironside lol. He got his arms torn off in Total Recall. He loses an arm and then his entire lower section here.

I will love Starship Troopers until the day I die. The funniest thing about that is that the movie really was trashy in a bunch of ways while the book is fuckin phenomenal, haha. I can’t help it. I love the movie. And the boobs.

Same here.

You may be right, since you had me wondering when the fuck did he ever starred with Evans and then I remembered the elevator scene in Captain America.

Don’t care. Young Denise was smokin hot.

Last night I watched the Peanut Butter Falcon. I had no idea what this movie was about going into it. It was fun, but perhaps a bit heavy handed (I’ve seen much worse though). I liked the travel aspect of the movie, and that I just didn’t know what I was going to watch when I clicked play. Was heartwarming. 7.5/10.

I was wondering who his character was in Civil War when I watched the opening scene. I had totally forgotten he was in Winter Soldier. Then I rewatched Winter Soldier and I saw him in the opening scene and but I didn’t notice him in the elevator scene lol.

Bucky and the guy with wings are pretty much like him. I don’t know have high hopes for the next phase. I’m 50% sure the Black Widow movie is going to suck. Neither Thor nor any of the Guardians can carry the franchise. If they fuck up the Dr Strange with Scarlet Witch movie, it’s over.

I hate most reality TV. I’ve never even watched a full episode of The Osbornes.

But I watched several episodes of this:

Guess why lol.

P.S

Oh I just remembered the guy with wings in the MCU is called “Falcon” after reading your post. I don’t know what he’s like in the comics but he sucks in the movies.

WandaVision sucks. I stopped watching after the Quicksilver episode and I only watched that because I wanted to know why the Quicksilver actor from X-men was in it instead of the MCU one. After watching that, I realized it’s still not worth my time. I’ll just read the online summaries for future episodes.

I don’t understand why so many people like it. Is everyone going through MCU withdrawal?

I like the X-men Quicksilver a lot, though. And the actor who plays him. He was great in American Horror Story. But what’s the point of having him in the MCU when Captain Marvel can move as fast as him and that’s like his only talent? It’s like how Superman made everyone else redundant in the Justice League movie.

Just fucking get rid of Captain Marvel or have her go fuck up the X-men Universe instead. Without Bryan Singer, it’s already dead anyway. The Dark Phoenix character had so much potential but they still managed to fuck her movie up. X-men Apocalypse mostly sucked but the Dark Phoenix scene was awesome beyond words plus the addition of the Wolverine scene kinda saved it.

Lol the guy with wings, Falcon, was basically Cap’s sidekick in the comics, and a pretty boring one too. Maybe the character evolved, I dunno, I only read my fathers comics.

I’m sorry @dt79 mate but there is no fucking way that Starship Troopers is superior to Robocop

Now he’s supposed to be the “new” Captain America? LMAO. He got his ass kicked by Ant Man.

Watching true lies again. Amazing. Everyone should watch this movie. It has everything including the Austrian Oak (and his amazing one liners). 9/10.

I feel people often overlook Arnold’s ability to do comedy (I think he is in general a funny dude, based on non movie stuff I’ve seen from him). He delivers lines that crack me up in all his movies. I feel that versatility improves his acting chops (which I also think he is underrated in). His dialog with the police horse in true lies had me laughing out loud.

Denise gets a 10/10. I re watched that bad Bond movie to see Dr. Christmas (Denise). Worth it IMO.

It might be one of his worst movies, but I’ve just always loved Commando, haha. First shot of him is just him carrying a tree on his shoulder. Holds a dude off of a ledge one-handed and says “this is my weak arm”. Just tailor-made for Arnold in every way.

Love commando. Have you seen running man? That is an Arnold classic that many haven’t seen. Not a good movie by any means, but entertaining, and I love it.

Predator is one of the best things ever created. Ventura almost out does Arnold in great lines.

Huge Stallone fan as well. He gets a bad rap as an actor, but IMO was actually good in a few like the first Rambo and Rocky movies.

Yeah dude, of course - I’ve seen and love most Arnold films, with the exception of Junior, haha.

Stallone is that dude too - I honestly enjoyed all the Rambo movies with the exception of Last Blood - it was just so…anticlimactic and such a short story arc. But I did love “Rambo”, aka Rambo 4, the 2008 film - when he turns the fuckin’ 50 cal on that humvee and just shreds people, awesome.

Besides his movies, Stallone was offered $360,000 in the fuckin’ 70s to give up his script and not star as Rocky, when he had $106 in the bank and no car, and he refused. That’s a fuckin’ champ right there.

The guy is smarter than people think. He is a good writer, which hardly anyone can do. Arnold and him get the dumb meathead thing by some. Both IMO, are smart talented guys.

Dr Christmas: Phd in Nuclear Physics

:joy: :joy: :joy:

I love all his quotes, but the one that really got me most was when he told the DEVIL:

Awful movie. Great one-liner. Fucking laughed myself into a mild asthma attack in the cinema.

I’ve long hypothesized that once Arnold is cast in a movie that isn’t written by Shane Black(Predator, Lethal Weapon series), all the production staff have a roundtable and go, “ok how many silly one-liners can we add to the script?”.

Loved the main theme. You know what’s interesting? The main TV production company where I eventually moved to somehow got the rights to the soundtrack and used that bloody theme in EVERY TV action show they made for years.

The movie was ok. Can’t remember much other than the part where he stabbed the lawyer in the back with the pen.

I found out about this long ago but that doesn’t matter. What matters is how I did:

During the MLM craze in Asia during the 2000s, 2 members of separate companies called me out for coffee from out of the blue and told me this story as part of a motivational pitch for me to join them as their downlines. They also said that he was turned down because he was too ugly despite being an immensely talented actor.

Both were chicks whom I’m pretty sure had never watched a fucking Stallone movie in their lives. It was hilarious. Da fuck. They were talking about Stallone in their meetings? LOL. Naturally I had to go attend one and had the time of my life. Even wanted to set up one myself but lacked the time, money and logistics.

It was like shit from the movies. During the interaction session, one dude with gang tattoos was constantly asking me rhetorical questions like, “Do you have any dreams?” and then going, “I do. I do” before I could reply.

Just finished “The Fool” (2014) - phenomenal Russian movie about local government corruption. Similar in theme and mood to “Leviathan”, but IMO this one is put together better. Very bleak, so be warned.
