That’s for keeping stuff warm all day. You can’t store leftovers in them as they don’t fit in the fridge lol.
Who need fridge? Fridge white devil invention!
I only know about those things ^^ from watching old kung fu movies hahah.
Just to let you know, to white people, anyone speaking Cantonese about anything at all sounds really, really emotional.
fixed
Pretty accurate. I think it has a lot to do with the inflections. We used joke about the Cantonese fellows sounding like they’re singing when they speak Mandarin.
Did you think the movie would be good, when they couldn’t hire someone to write a decent description?
“Meet a new kind of action hero. Six untraceable agents, totally off the grid. They’ve buried their pasts so they can change the future.“
I read that and couldn’t stop laughing.
I would have been FINE with that lol. Basic plot. Big explosions. End.
But Michael Bay decided to use a non-linear narrative for a basic dumb plot. Then he decides to film the action scenes like those in the 2 Bourne Identity sequels.
So there’s shit blowing up during the action scenes and I can’t see what blew up. In scenes where I can see shit blow up, they cut back and forth from the past to present day and I don’t know why that shit blew up in the first place.
You’re kidding right?
Saw “knives out” in Amsterdam (bout a month ago, that was the last film I saw in theatres)… actually a very good film… at least I think it was good… was stoned at the time so judgement may have been somewhat impaired
Yes, I am.
The description should’ve been “action movie that’ll put Breaking Bad’s romance with magnets to shame. Also, pArKoUr”
Birds of Prey
It’s pretty bad but enough to keep me mildly entertained. 4/10.
Oh, they got the director of John Wick to direct the reshoots. Explains a lot. Don’t believe me? Here’s a hint. Look at the change in color palettes in certain scenes if you watch the movie and see the difference in the quality of filmmaking.
So was it ultra feminist as rumored or did it focus on the actual story it was trying to tell?
Fuck Hollywood and their disregard for people of color blindness.
It’s a feminist(the lunatic kind) movie. There was a story but it got lost somewhere due to incompetent writing and directing.
I’ll put it this way. When I watched Suicide Squad, in the first 5mins I looked at the laughably bad editing and thought the rest of the film is going to suck but I’m still going to be entertained. It really was consistently bad throughout the movie. But I also thought maybe there’s a better movie in there somewhere that didn’t survive studio meddling.
For Birds of Prey, there’s a scene in a club at the start that’s so horribly bad I thought "oh fuck this is going to suck BALLS and not in an entertaining sort of way. However, this movie has a couple of highs and lots of lows, which surprised me.
Is it graphically violent though? I’m looking forward to a potential uprising of R rated superhero films… thus films with initially adult orientated source material can have legitimately faithful adaptations to the big screen… joker comes to mind
Logan was a better film than the wolverine, x men origins etc…
The rating doesn’t always make the movie, but venom would’ve been a hell of a lot better had they allowed the director to be more creative
I don’t think the action scenes needed the R rating as opposed to, say, those in movies like The Expendables 1 and Deadpool. They could have been edited them down to a PG-13 and there wouldn’t have been much of a difference.
The language(which was also pretty tame compared to Deadpool) and Harley inhaling coke was probably a bigger factor.
All in all, it shouldn’t have been R-rated IMO.
I don’t know about Venom. Even without the R-rating, it was too much of a mess. I literally fell asleep during the final fight.
X-men Apocalypse was rated PG-13. It was also a mess, but this Wolverine scene was still damn impressive even without the graphic violence/blood splatter. I think it all boils down to the skill of the filmmaker.
The Expendables 1 “earned” it’s R-rating.
Birds of prey is pretty much bombing at the box office.
