The live action Cinderella and Maleficent (AKA Sleeping Beauty) were better than the originals IMO. What these two have in common is that they add emotional depth and complexity to the story. The other remakes are basically just carbon copies of the originals.

Yeah I haven’t seen either of those. I think my daughter was too young when they came out perhaps. I also have to admit
I’m not a huge fan of those movies although I haven’t seen them since I was really young.
Alladin, Lion King, and some old school Fox and the Hound is where it’s at.
But speaking of live action I thought Hook (essentially live action Peter Pan) was amazing.
Oh man I’ve been there many times. Always wanted to play the video game as well but never have.

I hadn’t seen the whole movie before last night. When the vegan police show up I about lost it. That movie is wild and a lot of pretty big stars (now) were in it.
Seriously? Alright, I’m probably gonna watch them because I trust your judgement on movies.
You ever watch freaks and geeks? It has so many good people and it’s an amazing show. Such a shame it only got one season.
I’m sure it’s streaming somewhere. Not a movie but worth a watch for sure.

Wife and I just finished the first two seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon. The show is very funny despite some of its ham-fisted progressive themes. Filled with interesting and unique characters. Third season is on the way, probably by early 2020.

I almost started this last week. Instead, I went with Bosch. I actually like Bosch, this is the second Amazon series I’ve watched. I appreciate how they slow down the story and develop it. Unlike other crime shows that have a new antagonist every episode, Bosch maintains the same one for a season.
I also really enjoyed Patriot. Although, the last season wasn’t nearly as good as the first.
Watched some of season 5 of Vikings, really enjoyed the first couple seasons…but just couldn’t get into it for the later ones. Once Ragnar died, I just kinda fell out of it. Just started watching Trailer Park Boys, have had buddies on me about watching it for years, at this point, and finally broke down and started it, ha! The dry humor kills me.
Have you ever checked out Schitt’s Creek? When I watched the first couple of episodes I thought it was stupid but after that it was awesome.
my wife and I enjoy it … but then again I grew up with Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara so I was biased going into it
I particularly ended up enjoying his son Daniel.
