Greeny,
I don’t even think anything would change if this shit happened before he was elected. You have polls showing that he is STILL considered a viable candidate for NY mayor. When guys like this are not booted and/or not reelected, other realize that there is some kind of grace for them should they (more like when they) fuck up to this level of magnitude.
Our mayor of Los Angeles was found guilty of 46 ethics violations while in office…46 !!! And he STILL didn’t resign ! He left his wife and mother of his kids for a reporter, and then left that reporter for another reporter. Again while still in office.
Seriously, you need to commit murder or something to get booted.
I agree with this. According to a poll 56% of registered voters in his district think he should stay in office.
Of course, Ted Kennedy had the lovely Chappaquiddick incident where he accidentally killed a woman…“Kennedy gave a statement to police saying that during the previous night Mary Jo Kopechne was his passenger when he took a wrong turn and accidentally drove his car off a bridge into the water. After pleading guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident after causing injury, Kennedy received a suspended sentence.” If his name had been anything but Kennedy he might have been (BIG might have been) actually punished.
we agree
