Florida Lawmaker Warns Common Core Will Turn Children 'Homosexual'

“Van Zant made the comments at an Orlando education conference back in March, but the video of his remarks went viral on Tuesday. Van Zant told his audience that the American Institutes for Research (AIR), that implements the Common Core in Florida, “will promote double-mindedness in state education and attract every one of your children to become as homosexual as they possibly can.””

Um, I think Common Core has it’s problem but wtf?

If you want to read about Common Core, Wiki Ninja:

The Common Core State Standards Initiative is an educational initiative in the United States that details what K-12 students should know in English language arts and mathematics at the end of each grade. The initiative is sponsored by the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and seeks to establish consistent educational standards across the states as well as ensure that students graduating from high school are prepared to enter credit-bearing courses at two- or four-year college programs or enter the workforce

Game. Set. Match.
Seriously though, it seems like some Republicans go out of their way to seem stupid.

Funny Shit

I am interested in this sexuality changing technology, I am sure a lot of homosexuals in the bible belt will be all over it to turn heterosexual.

Any conspiracy theories? Seems like something moronic like this is being said weekly.
“We’re not just the party of “No”, we’re also the party of ignorance.”
Who would want to be associated with that?

Yeah, because Dems never say stupid things…

Didn’t say Democrats don’t say stupid shit, but sure seems like Republicans are in the lead with this.
Why don’t you post something you think is just as stupid instead of alluding to the existence of stupid comments made by democrats.

“You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent… I’m not joking.”
–Joe Biden, in a private remark to an Indian-American man caught on C-SPAN, June, 2006

“If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there’s still a 30% chance we’re going to get it wrong.”
–Joe Biden, speaking to members of the House Democratic caucus who were gathered in Williamsburg, Va., for their annual retreat, Feb. 6, 2009

Both parties say dumb shit…

That first one yeah, but that’s not really with respect to policy.
The second one, just reading it and not knowing the tone or what else was said, I don’t think he said anything dumb at all. Reading that, I see that he is aware of our shortcomings, and even when we have all the ducks lined up, or all the dominos are ready to fall, we miss something. Maybe I’m giving too much credit or reading into it too much.

“We Have to Pass the Bill to Find Out What?s In It”

“Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ?What are you talking about, Joe? You?re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?? The answer is yes, that?s what I?m telling you”

“During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet”

“Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs.”

“Seniors love getting junk mail. It?s sometimes their only way of communicating or feeling like they?re part of the real world.”

“They have acted like terrorists” -in reference to the tea party

“what we are trying to do is save the world from the republican budget… We are trying to save life on this planet as we know it today”

“the good news is our emissions are way down because of the recession”

“look the taliban per se is not our enemy”

“So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can ? it?s just that it will bankrupt them”

Heck. I could probably make a really long list for just Biden or Pelose or Reed or Obama.

Oh, those were about the Biden quotes. Yeah Hillary is a cunt.
Don’t have anything to back this up, just some thoughts I had.
I was wondering if her and Obama don’t get along, and if he appointed her to the position she’s in, knowing she’d fail, in order to weaken her campaign in 2016. Again, just something that crossed my mind with all the articles are Hillary’s “accomplishments” as Secretary of State, I don’t know if Obama was responsible for her having that position or not, or who appoints who and whatever.

Yes, Cabinet secretaries are appointed by the President at his or her own discretion, but their appointment is subject to approval via a simple majority vote of the U.S. Senate.

How can you do everything right and still have a 30% change of getting it wrong?

Completely agree, lol.

The unknown unknowns? lol

It’s not universally agreed that she failed. The majority of the leaders in rest of the world considered her an upgrade. People should spend some time reviewing similar situations to Benghazi under previous admins.; this is routine stuff.

We better be careful, might find ourselves on her hit list.

I suppose we are talking about the government. The unknown unknowns might = a 30% chance of failure…

I wonder what Bush knew and when he knew about pilots are going to fly airplanes into targets in the US
