How does communicating with family/spouses over there work?

It’s rainy and cool out here and I haven’t been to the gym yet…gonna be hard to dash out the door when the hubby gets home!

Just went for a 3 mile run with Timi around the lake. I feel a lot better now.
Timi is out of shape!

MiM- I mainly talk to Jamie and my family via Skype, and Facebook. Sometimes I make phone calls, but phone cards get really expensive. Calls are not free for us :expressionless: stupid.

warm up/stretch
DEADLIFT 133x8(warmup) 2x6x243, 287x5, 309x3, 329x1, 349x1(PR) not done though, 353x1, 358x1(fail) try again! 358x1… got it. it was ugly. might have been 1 centimeter from locked out, but whatever brah.
I was so dead after this I had to sit down for a few minutes. Felt like I was going to pass out about 4 times. Silly lightheaded for a while.
Hip adduction- 1x20x90, 2x12x100
hip abductio- 3x12x90
Sit ups- 20, 20
Leg Press(sled)- 6platesx10x2sets, 8platesx10x1set
hanging leg raise- 10. anddd done.

Running outside again tonight. hopefully I won’t die.

When my former manager’s hubby was in Afghanistan he would call her at work about every other day at noon (midnight his time) and we would stop everything to hunt her down and get her on the phone. Other times they would Skype but it was always at odd hours for her or for him.

It took me a minute to realize Timi is your dog. Do you get to keep him when you’re done?

I kind of have been liking focusing more on my shoulders recently. Because I feel that they are lagging.
Curse my narrow shoulders!

That was super bad-ass trying 358 again after a fail. Very awesome.

When you fail a lift, where in the pull is it usually? For me, I fail at ground-level when the bar don’t move up even an inch. :frowning:

Hi Mel,
regarding shoulders…
I had relatively narrow shoulders in relation to my hips for well into my 30’s.
Then I Started hitting them hard, and even giving them their own workout day. I always kept heavy standing militarys as a staple, then hit 3-4 other sets with high reps (didn’t want to fatigue or damage shoulders for other lifts). took a while, but now my shoulders are wide and thick, (check the pics in my hub) and my traps are built without doing shrugs. btw…built shoulders on females are hot in my opinion.

I hate unsolicited advice, but just wanted to let you know what worked for me.

-It is usually right at ground level, aka not moving at all, this time I got it to maybe an inch above my knees and had to drop it, waited a few minutes, and pulled it again. My ego is way too big to fail like that.

Edgy-I appreciate the advice, I have been hitting them hard lately and focusing on them a lot trying to bring them up so they overpower pretty much everything else. I usually have shoulders on their own day, but I recently switched up my routine, maybe it will work a little better now. I have WIDEEE hips also, which really doesn’t help the narrow shoulders AT ALL. oh, and huge legs, and a donk. but hey, chicks dig it.

deja- Thanks! I don’t feeeel super lean. I don’t know my BF but I think it’s around 20-22% which is NOT lean AT ALL!!! I hate my thighs, they’re huge. so I don’t like taking pics of them, I seriously have tried.
I’ll see what I can do for you today… evil grin

warm up/stretch
high incline DB press- 30x8(warm up) 50x8x2sets(30lb dropsets) 45x8(30 lb drop sets
shrug dip- 10, 12, 11, 10+25lbs
weighted dips!(first time I did this…w/ the belt) 8+10lbs, 6, 6, 6(all +25lbs) I was happy with the outcome.
Forearm/wrist curls
Standing push press- 65x8, 75x7, 6, 6

short workout today. back is sore from yesterday. running tonight.
now time to do some stupid army training. bleh.

OH This morning the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders were here at our Kennels hanging out with us, and we did some bite work training demo’s for them yadda yadda. Lame.
But it was nice to look at some purrty girls in booty shorts. WORD.

haha yes I am a K9 handler! That is my Combat Tracker dog in my avi. It is pretty damn hot here now during the day, and it stays almost just as hot at night.I think its about 115? maybe? it’s lovely! I love the heat though… I tend not to go outside if I don’t have to. I won’t even walk to the gym! I run at night when it’s not too bad.
But what kills me is the dust in the air. Its horrid… Good thing I don’t smoke…anymore~!
