Question about the Pro Bodybuilders. Do they HAVE to put on as much fat and water as some of them appear to do between shows and off season, OR does the polypharmacy make this almost unavoidable?
I’ve read in the rags that some current and retired BB’s said they’d like to stay closer to competetion weight in off season. It would make sense that it was a calculated weight/water gain because the pharmacology behind these guys is about as sound as it gets (except Greg Kovacs).
Think about the Testosterone, D-Bol, Insulin and so one that are used in the off season to bulk. Then the Tren, masteron, Primo and diuretics, Thyroid shit and clen and the holy GH that is used to get shredded.
It seems to me, as an outsider, it’s the nature of the cycles that causes a lot of the bloat. Keep in mind that because of the aggressive drugs, those boys can diet much more aggressively as well. Just my opinion/ observations.
BigRob: Thanks. I’ve felt that the extremes in weight gain, bloating and water were PROBABLY due to the polypharmacy, but like you, I’m still unsure. Just a couple of thoughts; 1) These guys often EAT huge and 2) It’s interesting to note that the “naturals” tend to keep their “off-season” weights much closer to their competitive weights.
Anyone else with some thoughts and ideas?
