Agreed. This is just the bastard child of the ‘I Hate Professor X’ thread and my recent discovery of the whole ‘meme’ phenomenon. GAL hasn’t been doing anything for me the past few weeks so I thought I’d throw this out there.

In fact, I used to like him quite a bit - but in the last two years his arrogance went through the roof - to the point where there was no decent discussion to be had with him on virtually any subject.
And he did enjoy a free pass for a long time, but once other respected posters (like Waylander, Lanky, Bonez) started calling him out and ceased cutting him slack, it went downhill for him here, which is probably why he left.
There was once a time when he was very cool, albeit a bit harsh, but he told it like it was and that’s something to be respected. But at some point in the last few years he went off the deep end with the arrogance, and used up what good will he had here… [/quote]

Great poster but you couldn’t even disagree about anything ever. A wealth of knowledge andhelp if you were willing to listen and do your homework first(i.e. don’t skip the stickied PX threads and then ask him for a glimpse at his routine.). The only thing that ever really bothered me was the whole ‘size-snob’ thing. He brought size into debates where it had no place at all.
I enjoyed many of his posts though and have taken a lot on board from him so thanks PX.
Also, I’ll always remember that CT met up with PX and later posted that ‘‘the dude is huge’’.

ANYONE who can’t have a sense of humor about themselves or a little humility about this entire pursuit deserves a kick in the tookus. I’ve had my kicks and they’ve made me a better person. Nothing wrong with holding up a mirror to someone every now and then. We usually need to see ourselves and have been neglecting to look for awhile if people feel the need to hold the mirror up for us.
Professor X was a great and knowledgeable guy. But as someone said before, arrogance creeped its ugly head in. No one can respect someone who’s that angry on a forum. I always suspect that people who spend that much time posting on forums while being that angry have something very unsatisfying going on in their life. If being an angry forum guru is your #1 hobby, then you have waaaay too much unfulfilling free time on your hands. Where are your friends? Your family? Your hobbies outside of the gym? Whatever shit he needed to clean up in his life, here’s a glass to him doing it successfully.
I was at a writer’s conference once and a bestselling author (his most famous book rhymes with “Bite Shrub”) said about a self-professed writing expert who had just self-published his first book: “If he was as good as he thinks he is, housewives in Peoria would have heard his name.” That’s something we should all keep in mind. If we’re top-level at what we do AND are dispensing advice that’s creating champions, then we’d at least be known throughout the entire bodybuilding and/or strength and conditioning scene. If the only people who know us are other forum posters, we have to have a little humility.
