I don’t think most of us hate X, I know I don’t. He was one of my favorite posters and I’ve said many times he’s probably helped more people on T-Nation than anyone else. That being said, I have no issues poking a little fun at the guy, either.

Not true. Maybe some people, but I told the guy what I thought no matter what. Don’t characterize everyone as pussies who only have something to say now that the guy is not around.
In fact, I used to like him quite a bit - but in the last two years his arrogance went through the roof - to the point where there was no decent discussion to be had with him on virtually any subject.
And he did enjoy a free pass for a long time, but once other respected posters (like Waylander, Lanky, Bonez) started calling him out and ceased cutting him slack, it went downhill for him here, which is probably why he left.
There was once a time when he was very cool, albeit a bit harsh, but he told it like it was and that’s something to be respected. But at some point in the last few years he went off the deep end with the arrogance, and used up what good will he had here…
