What’s the problem with T-Nation? It’s become a large community and too many of the members care too much about maintaining an e-persona. Some of them are pretty funny, but unfortunately they spawn limitless imitators who aren’t. The end result is a forum that’s turning into a “shoot-the-shit” board more than anything else, even outside of GAL, and there are countless battles between stupid e-personas no one cares about. I do appreciate the loose moderation, though. I can’t stand having to censor words like “fuck” and “shit” in the other board I frequent.

They can say completely outlandish shit that isn’t true and not get sued because what they are saying is so plainly not true. It’s the same thing with the hamburger pussy comment. I never said, “PX was mean to posters.” And to be honest, I haven’t read or looked at everything posted in this thread. At the time I posted, I had really only checked out the funny ones done in good humor–basically with quotes on them that he has had to say over and over to oblivious newbs who just don’t listen to what he says. I’ll take your word for it that some were crossing a line (I don’t feel like reading every post…lol). FTR, I didn’t perceive anything you said as personal attacks, I was just using it to make a point. But I was unaware of the extent to which people displayed ill-will towards PX. Like I said, I only read the funny ones that I really think the man himself had to chuckle at. That’s the place my OP came from. Now that I read my OP in retrospect, I did come off a bit more like a fuckin’ hippie than I intended…lol.
I’m aware of the fact that you mentioned, I just think posting under the surname of a comic book character kind of obliterates your chances of anyone in your professional life stumbling across it. IMO, some worry about this sort of thing way too much…some not enough. As you’ve pointed out, though, I’m probably closer to the latter.
