Aw thanks man, I really do appreciate that

My training partner and myself split the dough to buy a competition Eleiko Powerlifting bar since that’s what al; the USAPL/IPF meets use. VERY stiff bar, and we wanted to get use to the lack of whip. Hopefully my true max will be shown at Raw Nats now that I’m getting accustomed to this bar.

What’s your training max on CG Bench? [/quote]

385lbs I believe, I worked up to 315lbs at 82% on Monday.

Fair enough, I think I’m just going to post the raw numbers and not include the percentages in my updates from here on out. It’ll make things less confusing.

Week 3, Day 3

  1. Overhead Throw- 30 reps
  2. Press -

2x5 175lbs
2x5 185lbs
2x3 200lbs
3x3 210lbs

  1. SSB Squat -

3x3 375lbs

  1. CSR + DB OHP - 5 sets
  2. Band Pushdown (25) + Face Pull (15) Hammer Curls (12) 3x

There, I adjusted the Bench session with real numbers and what I actually did for assistance, so you guys can see what the daily amount of volume I’m pushing during my Accumulation Block. Because of my schedule, I’ll have to Squat/Floor Press tomorrow and I deadlifted/log press yesterday and Strict OHP/SSB Squatted Today. My body will hate me hahaha

Do you have any particular lifetime/ long term goals numbers wise? Any plans to move up or down weight classes?

This is a fantastic log, keep it up.

My lifetime goals are

  1. Win Raw IPF World’s
  2. Have a 2000+ Raw Total
  3. Have a 2500+ Multi Ply Total
  4. End up as a 242er or 275er in weight class
  5. Be considered to be one of the best Powerlifters ever

Everything else, like competing at USAPL Raw Nats in August, are short term goals.

Ha great post!

You seem like a very smart lifter, dedicated and young (and strong!) too so you should definitely be in with a shout.

What class and total you aiming for in August?

Aw, thank you man, I appreciate the sentiment.

I’ll either accidently become a 198er or be a very light 220er.

My plans are to hit a

550 Squat
405 Bench
650 Deadlift

So that would be a 1605 total if I did the Math correctly.

SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE!

I knew I was a winner back in the late sixties. I knew I was destined for great things. People will say that kind of thinking is totally immodest. I agree. Modesty is not a word that applies to me in any way - I hope it never will

-Arnold

Week 3, Day 2 (Making up the Deadlift Day screwed my lifting schedule up)

a. Box Jump - 25 reps
b. Squat, beltless -

2x5 370lbs
2x5 405lbs
2x3 430lbs
3x3 455lbs

c. Floor Press - 3x3 295lbs
d. Band Leg Curls - 5x15
e. GHR Sit Ups - 5x10

Easily one of the hardest squat sessions I’ve ever done.

Nice lifting
