Looks like your lifts are getting more specific to your competition lifts. How long until your next meet?[/quote]

My next meet is January 29th, so I’m about 4 weeks out as of right now.

My Coach and I are excited to see how well I’ll do at this meet.

Now I just have to get IPF approved wrist wraps since I won’t be able to use my Elitefts ones.

If any USAPL/IPF guys are reading my log. Which are better, the Metal All Blacks or the Inzer True Blacks?

Let me know which ones you get. I got EFS ones as well and just had to borrow ones at my last USAPL meet.

I ordered the Inzer ones since my buddy Lauren have a pair and I tried them.

Very ridiculous wrap, surprisingly

I should have a video of a few of these lifts within the week. I’m content with how everything went today.

Rightfully so. Looking good man. Looking forward to hearing about PRs at the meet.

Holy crap… Nice skills evaluation. I am assuming this was belted???

Thanks man, I appreciate it

I put a belt on

485 and 510 (technically 512) for squats

335, 375, and 395 on bench belt+wraps

515, 580, and 610 on deadlift was belt

Haha, I guess my buddy thought he recorded the 395 but I guess not since he was too busy wanting to side spot. Every other important lift is on there though.

Thoughts:

My 510 squat: My set up was poor, I started from a too far forward position. Even though I recovered, if that was a max weight, I should just ask for a re-rack since I won’t be able to recover from a poor starting position/set-up.

My 610 Deadlift: Just pull it with no hesitation otherwise I’ll pull from a less than favorable position.

I didn’t take either of these “3rd” attempts as seriously as I should have and got sloppy. I will fix that by meet day.

Oh and LOL at the bar literally flying off my back on both squats. I guess that means I’m getting explosive :D!

I’ve also experienced this. It’s an awesome feeling.

Yeah, I think the box jumps as part of warm up for neural activation purposes really makes a difference.

I’ve gotten better at lifting high % weights faster than I ever did with traditional speed work.

Good stuff Det! Cant wait to see you dominate the meet man. Keep it up for the next few weeks and wait for the PRs to fall into place.

PS: Nice pic at the end of the video lolz

Good lifts 'Los
