The Path to Paradise Begins in Hell

A couple of nice PR’s in there my friend…they just keep coming…awesome![/quote]

Thank OG, that tweak turned out to be a pretty stiff right lat so I hope I can get my DL’s in today.

Really great progress! You’re definitely moving along quite nicely.

Weird about the onion and it sounds like your wife deserves something nice for her quick thinking. Does she have a medical background? That’s really scary and has to make eating out something to really be careful about.

My wife has degrees in Microbiology and Medical Technology so she has been around the medical field though she works as a researcher.

I considered trying 425 but I thought I had pushed it enough already.

Looks like you had an outstanding day. Great work on the deads, Joe.

Thanks guys, I was mostly spinning my wheels until I found this forum.

So now I have an issue.

I need to lift at Alabama State on Feb. 25th to qualify for Nationals.

THe SPF Ironman Pro-Am is goign to be on March 10th and I’d really like to lift in it.

So here’s the question. Is three weeks enough to fully recover and lift again?

  1. Think you can lift in any meet to qualify for Nationals, I can verify if you want.
  2. Ironman is already 1/2 full for amateur day, so if you want to do this, you may have to make a quick decision
  3. If you go all out in AL meet, I personally think 3 weeks apart is too soon to compete again.

Yeah it’d be cool if I found out for sure.

Damn you and your being reasonable.

Yeah I plan on going balls out at Alabama and trying to hit 1100 so I probably will need a while to recover.

For 1100, what are your targets? 390, 275, 435?

385, 275, 445 Give or take.

Look at that DL! I remember you trying to break through that 400 mark for quite awhile. And I have to agree with Lil Power that if I go hard at a meet, I’m not ready to go that hard again three weeks later. But I usually have a lot of mental letdown, etc. afterwards that I have to deal with.

You hit the gym pretty hard after your last meet, I think you would do fine…your a machine! I mean moderation is for suckers…right?

Yeah I lost a lot of strength when I hurt my back and then switched to sumo but I think I’m starting to hit my stride again.

Knock on wood.
