Leo has also surprised the shit out of me as well. I hated him for years after watching The Titanic over and fucking over with stupid fucking girlfriend after stupid fucking girlfriend. After The Departed and Blood Diamond, I’m convinced that he’s a for-real, no-bullshit, damn-good actor.
Leo was the only person in The Departed who I could forget that they were that actor. Everyone else seemed to be either be playing themselves or type cast.
I’m also sorry about the Titanic thing. It was a horrible movie that destroyed all my faith in James Cameron. Though anytime I think about that movie it makes me want to go watch The Abyss, back when his stuff was still good.

You haven’t seen any of the other films he’s done in the 10 years since Titanic? He’s a very talented actor, always has been. It’s unfortunate that so many people still can’t seem to get the “Leo craze” out of their minds and appreciate the work he’s done. He’s a good actor whether the media hypes him up or not.
He’s been in 9 movies in the last 10 years, and two of those were in '06. Of those 9, I’ve seen 6. Not counting The Departed and Blood Diamond, that makes 4:
The Man in the Iron Mask fucking sucked as a movie, so his performance was lost on me.
The Beach was pretty good, but The Titanic was still fresh in my mind at that point.
3)Gangs of New York belonged entirely to Daniel Day Lewis. DiCaprio’s character was a fucking pussy next to Bill the Butcher.
4)Catch Me If You Can bored me to tears, so once again, his performance didn’t matter to me.
The Departed and Blood Diamond were awesome though. Leo pulled off two consecutive bad-ass roles, which is something I never would have thought he could do.

I can forgive Cameron for anything. He gave us Terminator, Terminator 2, Rambo 2, Aliens, and True Lies. I can forget one chick flick if you have a resume like that. Up until Blood Diamond and Departed, Leo just didn’t have enough credibility to excuse that mess.
While I’m off on a tangent about The Titanic, I have to say that 50% of the reason I hate that damn movie so much is the freaking soundtrack. I swear to christ I heard that fucking Celine Dion song every 30 minutes for a fucking year. I’m surprised I didn’t kill myself.
You’re welcome mate. I thought they sucked too until I saw those pics of her, never knew she was THAT stacked.
Agreed, that’s honestly the biggest I’ve seen them look on her, outside of the movie “Heartbreakers”… which I own…
I recommend it to anyone who is interested in watching a fairly mediocre movie full of the most scantily-clad-boobs-popping-out Jennifer Love Hewitt you’ll ever see.
Mufasa, thank you for your contributions as well, much appreciated.
