I have severe pull-up envy. If I try that, my rotator cuff screams at me (and then my fat arse won’t move more than an inch upwards anyway). I’m not surprised that you can do them, given you can do those “kips” on the asymetric bars, but damn. That was impressive.
Have a good trip.
Strong, strong effort on the WG pullups. I can do exactly one. On a good day.
I was very distracted by those delicious looking calves of yours. nomnomnom.
NJ and then San Diego…that’s a whole lotta flying around and quite a change in climate! Bring warm clothes for the East coast leg of this trip…brr.

Nice WG pull-ups! Hope you have an awesome trip![/quote]
Fantastic! I haven’t tried in awhile. I think I’m having success with the neutral grip because it sort of splits the difference between a pull-up and chin. Thanks for sharing and have a nice break!
Oh, you asked me if my lifting has helped my running? Well, these past few months, I’ve pretty much stopped running in my pursuit of muscle, but I don’t think it’s hurt a thing. I was worried that I wouldn’t keep muscle gains on if I did too much slow steady cardio so I stopped. When I have run, I think the lifting has actually helped kept my cardio endurance up pretty well. Today my hip flexors are so sore I would be one miserable runner.
fuck those calves!! and damn those pullups. so much win.
Really nice work on the WG pullups. I was doing them today and I agree that they feel a little awkward. I need to do them someplace where my legs aren’t hitting something in front. Did them on the assisted machine w/the platform locked down. Didn’t work out as well as I would’ve liked.
Have a great trip!
Awesome weighted pull-ups, and yeah, I can’t see jumping into a wide-grip position either. I have to tip-toe on the bench, grasp with one arm, then tip-toe and reach with my other hand.
And your calves rock, as well as that workout
you are so graceful!
just lovely and awesome ![]()
Hi Everyone!
I’ve been rejerseyfied. See my middle finger? Highlights include a trip to the museum of natural history and a devils’ game. I also taught my sisters to deadlift and kicked their ass at “whore” more commonly known as “horse.” They taught me how to hit a heavy bag–which is really fun. I think I need one.
Training: I’ve done no lifting since last Tuesday. I feel good, but I did manage to pick up a cold from the plane, which is slowing me down some. I’m going to squeeze in a reduced 3-3-3 week (no bbb) over the next few days before I head to san diego. I’ll take another deload and then do my 5-3-1 week when I come back. I’ve added weight for this abbreviated cycle, but because I’m cutting corners on my accessories, and missing my 5x5 week completely, I’ll consider repeating it, if I feel I need to. Today, I did a quicky bench workout.

Sorry to hear about your cold. I’m jealous that you have some sisters. I hope the beautiful weather here holds for your SD trip. It’s been in the 70’s where I am. I’m about 75 miles north of SD.
Love your sexy polka dot bikini. I thought you were just making a muscle there, not giving us the bird. It is nice of you to offer though. Better be careful about putting up that finger unless you mean it.
love the bikini - hadn’t even realized the finger was up before you mentionned it - I was kinda distracted ![]()
^^ Haha yeah, is your arm even up? I didn’t notice past the hawtness
Sorry about the cold, but still managing a PR is awesome stuff.
lol! Love the avi! And the Carmella Soprano pink sweats. Calves are nom.
Way to go on the WG pullups. Very impressive!
Its good you got some time off and gave your body a rest. I bet you’ll be coming back super strong! Glad you had a good trip - welcome back!
i saw you giving me the finger. very nice pic.
I cant see the pic. i has a sad.
and i have to envy your incredible repping ability for wg pullups. of COURSE you can, and have gorgeous calves. grrrr.
hey hawty
welcome back!!
You guys are too funny and sweet. But the finger is the best part–and the only reason I posted that picture!
Training: gymnastics
My flexibility is improving. (How do you feel about tic-tocs, Veggie?) My front and backhandsprings, on the other hand, not so much, they’re a little sluggish. But I’m certain if I remain consistent I’m going to see some quick improvement there too. One thing I’m doing wrong is sitting back to low on the back handspring–fucking squats!

Isn’t Jersey great! I really don’t even think about flipping people off, its just a reflex.
Must have been fun to “train” a little with your sisters.
Glad you’re back, mama! Can’t wait to see your new cycle unfold. Good times ahead.

Whoa! LOVE the gymnastics vid. Haven’t even thought about tic-tocs in like 20 years! Cool though, maybe I’ll try them. Seeing you tumble on a real, springy floor makes me itch for back handsprings.
Welcome back!
Watching that video really makes me want to learn gymnastics. Not going to happen now though!
I don’t know much about gymnastics, but it looked pretty awesome to me!
