And Trumps method of fighting back through tariffs would do nothing but hurt American consumers and American exports. No one is arguing that China isn’t royally screwing us over but it is not through tariffs but their currency manipulation. (In Donalds credit I do believe he rambled something about this in the last debate but it was too unintelligible to make out)
There is a readily available weapon to stop currency manipulation that the executive branch can use immediately, banning the purchase of US treasuries and assets by the Chinese. This in conjunction with a sustained effort to make American manufacturing and business more competitive in the global market in areas where we have a competitive advantage is what will help us balance the trade deficit without crippling the US consumer who is currently dependent on low cost goods.
Rubio has actually been ill for a few days now. It was obvious during the debate, hoarseness etc. Therefore, he might be taking some down time. But, no excuses I think he would be losing to Cruz anyway. If he loses his home state of Florida he may get out and endorse Cruz. That’s what he should do anyway.
I would vote for you over Trump.
Anyone know or seen how Cruz is polling against Clinton?
With regards to the wall I never said that walls in general don’t work, they work excellent in high traffic/populated areas. We already have this for the most part.
You can’t possibly compare the Hungarian 13 foot fence with Donalds proposed 40’ LOL wall. Keep in mind that their fence along with their other efforts deters migrants to surrounding countries.
The point is not that it is not at all possible but completely inefficient, for someone that is crossing miles of Dessert even a 40 foot wall is not a significant deterrent.
And thank you for bringing up the Great Wall of China, the project that took centuries and required millions of Chinese to be forced into slave labor… Although Donald would probably just use illegal immigrants for the project so I’m sure he would get us a great deal…
I’m not sure if this is a compliment or insult…
In regards to Cruz people people tend to forget that republicans were given the house and Senate to stop Obama. Cruz has lived up to that, I would argue that the majority of the Republican party has more or less as well. Anyone noticed how often Obama complain s about the Republicans stopping him? How about the media labeling them the party of no?
People then complain about do nothing politicians when in fact our government will do nothing but end in a stalemate with an executive branch and Congress that are at bitter odds. The reasoning behind this isn’t so much that our political parties can’t cooperate it’s that our populace is completely divided and won’t tolerate their elected officials, either Liberal or conservative to even consider working with each other.
Cruz has now won the Kansas and Maine Caucasus.
Very nice… despite what many say I think the assault on Trump is having an impact. Probably too little too late but I think it’s caused a lot of voters to have second thoughts
I disagree I don’t think it is too late. Keep in mind it takes 1237 delegates to win the nomination Trump, before tonight’s two wins only had something like 317. Cruz about 100 behind him. There is plenty of time for Cruz to pass Trump. And I do think that between Trump’s poor debate performance, Cruz’s strong debate performance and Mitt Romney announcing to millions of people that Trump is a phony and a fake has in fact taken a toll on Trumps support.
Incidentally, Romney has done far more than give one very highly covered speech. He has continued his attacks on Trump all over the airwaves day after day. This gives the non Trump candidates a real boost. Those who say Romney actually helped Trump by attacking him were dead wrong. As I have said repeatedly most people don’t know or care that Romney is an “insider”. The fact that someone is calling you out daily hurts you.
I agree with you regarding the wall Push.
I don’t think blowing off CPAC was very smart of Trump either.
The President of CPAC was livid…and let Trump have it publicly.
Have they proven to cut immigration overall or just curb it elsewhere? I stated that walls are effective in urban or high traffic areas but that a continuous wall across the boarder is inefficient impractical, not that it wouldn’t have an impact.
So your argument would lead to a continuous wall which circles back to my argument that it is an inefficient and impractical option?
Romney should have done this a long time ago… instead he lit Cruz and Rubio dirty their hands first lumping them in with the establishment/anti trump crowd
