Come on Push I keep on saying it…
Walls ARE effective, they are just not effecient or practical in some areas…
The walls of a prison are no where near the scale of a boarder wall.
Ironically enough doesn’t Joe Arpio(just indorsed Trump) have a jail in the middle of the dessert without walls? Not 100% about this but I thought I remember hearing that the geography meant that any convict that did escape would have no were to go.
If this is the case then shouldn’t we build a wall around all of Mexico? I mean we can’t have them hopping on boats to get in like those Cubans? Next thing you know they’ll be running for president!
I’m working in my phone here so I can’t exactly paint you a picture. To be honest my interest in the issue isn’t strong enough for me to dive into that kind of detail either.
To sum it up though any areas with nearby Urban centers, towns or roads should walled off, any areas next to a water supply should be walled off. Areas with wide expanses of Dessert can be mo I tired by drones, manned surveillance or some other forms of electronic surveillance.
If you have any good reads on the specifics please do share.
Sig my friend, in all fairness the wall in your video is about 15 feet high, give or take. The wall that needs to be built at the Mexican border should be about 45 feet. Funny I actually do a lot of climbing, as in climbing walls, and there are not many people who are willing to climb such a wall without a really good harness and well placed handholds. There is actually no way of doing it that makes sense. And if you fall at that height you are either dead or very severely injured.
My argument was just to secure the boarder in an economic fashion, we are after all supposed to be the party of fiscal responsibility.
Food for thought
2000 miles of boarder with a 45’ wall @ 1’ width is about 17.6 million yards of concrete. That does not include the foundation or pylons which would be a significant add. The Hoover Dam used a little over 3 million yards.
To move on what’s the thought on deploying National guard and or reserve forces to the border?
