The Next President of the United States: III

You didn’t prove anything ZEB. I’ve put you on ignore, I don’t deal with stupid well. Enjoy the last word.

Turning off the internet (as if that was a thing) is precisely the wrong tack. We should be showering the country with cellular devices and blanketing the airspace with wireless service.

For those old enough to remember, blue jeans and rock n’ roll did as much to bring the down Berlin Wall as Reagan did.

Let Islamic youth see what an educated, wealthy populace looks like and radicalism of all sorts drops to the wayside. Educate the girls and make sure young men have opportunity in this life time and the 70-odd virgins waiting for them in the next doesn’t seem so attractive anymore.

Trump - being a statist, blovaiting bully - puts next to no thought into the words that come out of his mouth.

“We are losing a lot of people to the Internet. We have to do something. We have to go see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what’s happening. We have to talk to them [about], maybe in certain areas, closing that internet up in some way.”

What a fucking clown, the guy thinks Bill Gates is in control of some super-secret internet kill switch.

Exactly. There’s a reason that the vast majority of Muslims in this country are peaceful. They have a lot to lose. Right now the folks in these battered countries have nothing at all to lose by using their tactics. I’ve always been a believer in the power of capitalism because I’ve seen it work wonders.

It would seem that both the U.S. and Russia are paying for their indirect wars against each other.

From a practical perspective it’s too hard to “shut down” the internet for ISIS. Even if you do shut off access for Syria you’ve then got to shut it off for every ISIS supporter in every country. Sounds simple right?

Let me see now what sort of last word would I like hmm. This is a real challenge. Okay, I think I’ve got it.

How about this: You must deal with stupid well judging by the majority of your posts.

No, no that was nasty. I will end with something more positive. Something I tried to end with many posts back.

Have a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

Your Friend,

Zeb

Very well said and something that is not given enough lip service by any of the candidates.

When you have nothing to lose you are far more subject to some of the insane ideas put out by ISIS and other terror groups.

Nice revisionist history of this thread.

I don’t hate you, I think you’re a spineless fake conservative.
Honest question- how many “fake conservatives” do you think exist in the country as a whole?
A lot.
What you meant to say was anyone who disagrees with you.
Go fuck yourself.
LOL

How has that worked out in France, Belgium and England?
I assume you’re referring to the disaffected Muslim youth returning to Syria through Turkey?

Do you think it’s the internet that radicalized them or the densely populated, high-unemployment areas the fighters came from? Cut off from government services and access to power, a stint in Damascus doesn’t sound so bad. Besides, when he returns his street cred will definitely help get him laid.

All I can say is - He’ll be an idiot either way

Did Trump actually say that Hillary got “Schlonged” in 2008??

L-O-fucking-L!!!

He did!

Glad I stopped thinking of myself as Republican…

This clown (and debatably conservative/republican) just keeps sucking up the oxygen from those who might actually have a chance at winning something besides a political party’s nomination. Which is supposed to be the goal, after all.

I agree with most of what you said and am absolutely not a Trump fan. But, I’m not so sure he cannot beat Hillary. Granted, that doesn’t give any of us a warm fuzzy feeling. Both their negatives are very close. And as you know cross party polls one year out do not mean a whole lot. Reagan was losing to Carter one year out if memory serves. There are other examples which make cross party polling idiotic one year out.

I’ll keep rooting for Rubio or Cruz to get the nomination. Heck at this point I’d even take Chris Christie, or (cough) Jeb Bush over Trump.

But if what seems to be the inevitable keep in mind we have survived the worst President to ever be elected in the modern era. We will also survive Trump.

Trump is the gift that keeps on giving. His comments are pure gold. Unscripted speeches and he doesn’t give a damn who he offends. And it does not harm his support at all, with the media sit there scratching their heads.

Trump would never win the general. Never. BUT…I like I said before, this may be a moment where the tide shifts. The Trump non-PC movement can be the new Tea Party. Guys who act like Trump can win on a smaller scale. School boards, city councils, small town mayors, state congressmen, etc.

One thing is clear: This shit resonates.

I wouldn’t dismiss his chances of winning just yet, there are more people who will vote for Trump than are willing to admit it. I don’t know what kind of president he would be, but boring does not come to mind at all.

Besides, look what slick walkin’ and jive talkin’ got us ?
