Mostly for what usmccds423 said. I had hoped it would get something interesting going.
Still, Lincoln was a consummate politician, and one who knew how to stay calm under immense pressure. I think he would have been a good president in peace-time, and I think John Wilks Booth did the U.S. a great disservice by killing him. I’m pretty sure Lincoln would have done a better job managing the forces that made the Reconstruction such a clusterfuck.
