Finally. It happened. I was able to use Surge Workout Fuel on the ice yesterday.
We hadn’t had ice time the last six weeks, so conditioning was a bit of a concern heading in. And then the hockey gods decided to turn things up a notch.
Between a combo of the first day back and nice weather outside, the turnout wasn’t that great. We had only enough to play half ice, and I was the only goalie. I don’t know if anyone reading this plays hockey (and is also a goalie), but this non-stop action is incredibly taxing.
This went on for nearly an hour and a half. I was gassed at the end, but I definitely think Surge Workout Fuel propped me up for much longer than I would have made it otherwise.
We should have a better turnout tomorrow, so we’ll see how that goes.

For sure. It’s especially awesome being able to use the same product for various physical activities (lifting, biking, and hockey in my case).

Wild Berry is freakin’ delicious. That’s all. That’s the post.
(Mad I didn’t try it sooner.)

I tried to tell you! Lemonade is good, but Berry is more good!

Keep knockin’ me on the head and some day I’ll listen.
Honestly, though, I held off on trying it because berry-flavored things are usually hit or miss with me. It might just be my favorite, though.

They are both so refreshing and satisfying when training. Extremely drinkable and you are sad when it’s gone.

One thing @Jared_Maggard suggested was mixing the two flavors. I keep forgetting to try it.
@FERCHCORE this is a simple one scoop product that seems to be helping us with recovery (both within the workout and across multiple training days) universally. I know how commercial I sound, but I don’t think anybody has noticed nothing (even if just the beta-alanine tingle).

I still haven’t tried it, but need to. Here at HQ, we have both flavors bottled up for us and in a cooler, so not as easy for me to just split a scoop. I need to just drink half of each and then mix them!

I’m curious if anyone who is coming from having used Plazma is noticing any difference (positive or negative) in making the switch to Surge.

I had been transitioning from Plazma to Surge, and wasn’t noticing much from the product alone, but when I went full on Surge and Workout 1 my weight jumped 4 pounds in one day.
I know that doesn’t make any sense to me. My guess is that I had more fluid in my muscles from the Surge plus the pump workout of the Surge Challenge.
Tomorrow I have another workout and will note the weight change.

Oh, this is happening. Maybe even today.
The image in my head of this is the coolest cooler ever.

Almost surprisingly (because Plazma is so solid), everything has been positive. I’ve been a loyal Plazma fan for years, but the pumps have been better, and I’ve felt fresher throughout my workouts.

I want to chime in on this too because I know what I write might come off as hyperbolic, but it’s just how I feel and what I’m experiencing. I get excited about these things. Haha

For real! To actually feel any different lifting after this many years is noticeable and it’s certainly entertaining

Is anyone experiencing a sugar crash after taking Surge? On my workout days, about an hour after finishing the workout and the intra workout serving of Surge, I am having a terrible sugar crash. I usually don’t eat for an hour or so after my workouts, should be eating sooner? I workout in the AM and eat breakfast before lifting. A typical breakfast would be a bagel with peanut butter or oatmeal, 2 cups of black coffee, and 4oz of chicken or beef, or 3 eggs.
This happened to me with Plazma, although very, very rarely. I would get sleepy if I didn’t eat quickly enough. I haven’t noticed it with Surge Workout Fuel, and have something to eat 45 minutes to an hour after my workout.
But yeah, the solution might be as simple as eating 30-45 minutes after your workout (or an hour if you find you do usually wait longer than that).
How have your workouts been?
Workouts have been good. I find that even though the workouts feel tough, that afterwards I’m not exhausted. I really liked workout 3. The Surge berry is so freakin good!

That’s awesome! Even though I’m not partaking in the Surge Challenge, it’s super cool to stay caught up with everyone’s progress.

Nothing in Surge WOF would cause a “sugar crash.” The tiny amount of sucrose wouldn’t cause it, and the HBCDs, due to the long duration action, wouldn’t cause it.
You might have been able to work out harder and cooling down from that might have felt like a crash.
