The New Surge Workout Fuel Is Here

Did this today for both my pre- and intra-workout drink. It was good, but not necessarily better than either flavor standalone.

Interesting that I liked Berry a bit more initially, but would say I like them pretty equal at this point. Maybe it’s the heat wave here in NorCal, but the Lemon has really hit the spot lately.

I mixed them together today too, and it actually might be my favorite.

I’d say it’s worth a try if you’re at all curious.

Buying today. Feedback seems very positive

Finally had a chance to hit some actual trails with my mountain bike yesterday, and I brought along two scoops of Surge Workout Fuel. Side note: glad I went with Lemon Drop because it was 90 degrees out.

Everything felt great. Climbs that had previously given me trouble were easier, even in the heat.

Honestly, I almost wish there was something I didn’t like about Surge Workout Fuel. I feel like a walking billboard at this point.

Also, my weight was 224 yesterday, yet my pants are still looser, and I caught my arms/shoulders looking a little bigger in the mirror the other day. I did not expect that at all, and I’m not even sure what it means yet. We’ll see where things are next week.

Exactly how I’ve felt in my own log

Missed out on the challenge but just ordered some Surge!

Question: when lifting first thing in the morning, are you guys taking in any protein pre-workout or is it not necessary? I saw the suggestion that the Surge dose be taken on an empty stomach. Are you just getting protein in alongside the post workout dose?

Awesome!

I’d try going with preloading a scoop Surge Workout Fuel 15-20 minutes prior to your workout. If your goals and overall nutrition allow, I’d have a second scoop during your workout.

I wouldn’t stress the need for protein at that time, as the leucine in Surge Workout Fuel will do a bang up job of stimulating protein synthesis.

I’d continue on with a regular meal 30 minutes to an hour after your workout.

If you feel off, etc without eating something first, you can always adjust.

I would say it is critical to take Surge on an empty stomach.

I would wait 30minutes after drinking the last of the post workout Surge before eating protein. In my case I use Metabolic Drive.

Awesome, thank you!

No problem. Let us know how things go!

Not disagreeing with @Matthew_Weeldreyer at all, just slightly different preference:
I wake up and have a cup of coffee, then start drinking Surge as I start working it. I struggle to down a whole dose prior to lifting, and I’m not willing to change out my coffee habit!
All in all, a very slight tweak on a consistent theme.

I’m not coming between you and coffee. Nope. No way. :joy:

Haha!

I, too, will not be denied my morning coffee. There are very few things in this world that would cause me to give up coffee. And, as I sit here staring at my family and the home we’ve built, none of them come to mind.

My routine:

~6 am I wake up. Immediately make my coffee, catch up on news, say Hi to the stupid dog and cat. (I’ve been into pour overs lately. We also recently got a Espresso pod machine, which is surprisingly awesome. A squeeze of honey in a shot of espresso suffices just fine when I’m running late).
6:20: Mix two servings of Surge in separate bottles. One in 600 mL of water, another in 1 L.
6:30 - 6:45: Drink the 600 mL serving of Surge while get my workout stuff together.
7 am - 8 am: In the gym/garage. Sip on my 1 L Surge serving during the workout.
~8:30: Protein smoothie.

In sum, the Surge works great on an empty stomach with no food. I feel so much more energized and capable during my workouts compared to my pre-Surge days. It also tastes so good and I crave it, as if my body really wants it.

Lastly, I am NOT a workout supplement guy. I historically use just whey protein (which is really just a food) and that’s it. I didn’t expect to be very impressed with Surge, but I have to say it’s really a difference maker for me. I’m off to Mexico for vacation tomorrow, and you can bet I’m bringing Surge along. If customs takes it I’m gonna be pissed.

I’ve been using Surge for one workout per week for a little while now and that workout has been the best one of the week each time. This stuff is amazing and I’m very happy with it, can’t recommend it enough. Definitely excited to see what extra gains can be made in the near future with it.

The Lemon Drop flavor tastes so good, it’s probably the best-tasting supplement I’ve ever had.

That’s all awesome, @Moonflower!

What are you training for these days?

Currently I’m trying to get bigger and stronger before I graduate college and hopefully go into law enforcement, so most of my training is focused toward that end. I also enjoy learning and improving calisthenics skills like front/back lever, elbow lever, human flag, etc. I also started training toward a straddle planche recently and that’s been really fun.
but wow it’s super difficult!

Dont go into LE. Trust me.

Why do you recommend against it?

Its a dead end. We’re public enemy number 1. No matter what… You’re wrong, racist, power hungry, a coward, etc…

Trust me. 14 years in and im leaving it behind.
