Want to piss off an Australian? Insist that they drink Fosters.

It’s a scientific fact that they will vehemently deny it, and often even become angry at the assertion.
Indeed. It’s actually in their taps there, like the kitchen faucet. They just call it water now, so they’re not even aware that when we say they drink Fosters that they do. If an Australian sees water coming out of a tap anywhere else on earth they ask why the water is so clear.

Also, no matter what size knife you pull out, and Australian can automatically pull one out that’s bigger. Even women and children. And even if they weren’t carrying one when you pulled out yours. They don’t even know how it happens either…it’s like some sort of magic.
That’s not a noif. This. Is a noif.

It’s much higher than most would think. The amount of holding, shoving and hitting that goes on in competitive basketball is insane. The difference is, basketball is a contact sport. Football is a collision sport. So, football players need considerably more body armor (muscle) to withstand the sports demands. But, basketball is no joke, especially for someone with an aggressive game, like Iverson or Dwyane Wade. Why do you think so many older guys start to develop and rely on the mid range and outside game? It’s not so much that they’ve lost a step as it’s a measure of self preservation.
you’re talking as if football was just sprinting and catching the ball. every position (even the qb at times) has to do some serious blocking. i’d love to see a basketball player try to “out-shove” a football player, even a WR.

most corners would drop any BB player on their ass, let alone LB, OL, FBs.

Football strength >>> Basketball strength.
Oh, no question. Didn’t mean for it to sound like I disagreed with that. The op asked about all around athleticism, not combine performance. I’ve played ball with several NBA & NFL players. Hell, during their off-season I play ball with most of the Texans starting defense a couple of times a week. I’m not saying these dudes aren’t athletic. I’m saying that in terms of ALL AROUND ATHLETIC ABILITY, basketball players have 'em beat.

D, you’re being a li’l naive, brother. I’d bet over 90% of these dudes are juiced to the gills. 6’4", 270lb dudes don’t run 4.6 40’s without some “assistance”.

WF you forget what I do for a living, I run drug screening for many fortune 500 companies in the US. Yes can it happen, yes can these guys try to cheat it. But sorry I just do not think it happens to the level people want to accuse. These are the elite athletes in the country for a whole nation these are the cream of the crop for 32 teams. Sorry as a guy on the inside I just do not see it as possible.

I will add, to me this is guys like you and me who are gym rats and are jelly of the ability of these guys.

Why would I lie? You’re in Houston. Go to the 24 on Chimney Rock and Westheimer between noon-2 Monday-Thursday. Never seen Cushing or Watts there, but just about everyone else you can think of goes. I’ve seen Slaton and some other offensive guys there, too.

I’m not jealous of anyone. 2 major knee injuries deep and I can still out jump all those dudes. Check Genesis-ap website. Several of the Texans train there in the off-season and I still hold the gyms vert record. I didn’t make it 'cause I was a punk ass kid who was unwilling to make the necessary sacrifices, but I can still more than hold my own with these dudes athletically.

Haha, right on. That’s probably why they play at those times, so they don’t draw too big of a crowd.

I didn’t, but for a guy his size that’s impressive. I think Watts is actually bigger than listed. I’ve never meet him, but he trains at the gym I just referenced. Google it and look asst the images. There’s a pic of him standing next to the owner (who’s 6’1" or so) and Watts is a full head taller. He might be a legit 6’8". Dude is a fucking beast.

^^^ on my phone, man, and for some reason I can’t watch YouTube vids posted on T-Nation? If anyone knows what’s up with that, help a brother out. I’ll go to YouTube and watch it though.

You need to WF its fucking impressive

That was impressive for a dude his size. Check the YouTube page of the gym I named. Somewhere in there there’s a vid with a few of the Texans doing an upper body workout, and Watt and Cushing are there. Watt makes Cushing look small. Dude is an ogre.

Here are Watt’s stats. Yes he is a Beast. Watching him play right now

For comparison, here are Jimmy Grahams combine stats

In terms of overall skill i still think it’s sevens rugby, nothing requires as much fitness, agility and skill. Way more than football. I don’t mean to diss football but football is very task specific and not overall skill full.
