thats good, pressing overhead is a lot more useful in anything other then powerlifting lol when even then abnomally strong shoulders wont hurt. when you bench are you shoulder dominant?
Im chest/tri dominant in bench myself mostly chest
Haha that is true about overhead pressing being more useful!
I’m not sure if I am shoulder dominant when benching. How do you tell? Is it just where you feel it most?
thats how ive always determined it haha
Lol in that case, I think I am chest and tris dominant. If I was shoulder dominant, my bench might be better! Ha.
could be man, i think people with chest/tri or one of the two have the most potential for strength, not for any reasons other then the fact that the triceps themselves can get disgustingly strong with the right work and if your chest gets hit aswell then you have extra help from your triceps lol. I noticed a lot of guys with very strong bench presses that dont use stuff like boards etc do multiple grip bench along with heavy close grip which I think i will adopt.
kazmier, captain kirk and ed coan all did this, enough said!

It doesn’t get any better than those guys!
I’m going to work on my close grip, for sure.
Yeah man and keep in mind that the close grip and tricep sessions will recover faster then the chest sessions because of the wider grip. Konstantinovs talked about it in his one interview and that’s the reason why he adopted a closer grip, he said the wider would take a week to heal for him and close grip every 2 days. For this reason because I believe this to be true I will do close grip triceps and arm day before chest.
I’m also going to move in my grip a bit on my regular flat bench to reduce injury and increase recovery

Still as strong as ever. lol. Any info on your diet right now? You’ve really leaned out.
thanks man, I have no desire to all out cut because i really dont want to be any lower then 225. I think the most fool proof strategy for cutting is to just weigh yourself in the morning and x whatever that is by 12. If for some reason your metabolism is super slow then do x11, just play around with it. I would do that for a couple days then all out binge, at first this was by mistake but if i hadnt had those binges I would of lost strength and wouldnt of made the LM gains I did, when I get back to 238 ill post up pictures comparing then to now just to show i did gain noticeable LM!
Right now the best way to describe my eating is just eat based on how hard you train that day
Cool man. Thanks for the write-up. I do something similar, eat a LOT on days I lift, not a lot on off days. Do you worry about fats, carbs, all that jazz, or just hit the calories for the day and not worry about it?
Ohh and reading your posts with Consul, makes me sad that I’m super shoulder dominant

Well up until this point I haven’t put much stock in macros other then the importance of carbs, I maintained easily on .5glb protein per lb of lean mass which means some days I only ate 100gish.
I’m going to try high protein now and see how that is and if it makes a huge difference.
About the bench press I wouldn’t sweat it man you may only think your that way because your chest an tris aren’t strong enough but that will come in time, that’s why I stick to just making every single muscle on your body as strog as possible and then stronger then that so weak links no longer exist!

Konstantinovs is a beast - makes sense to follow his lead. Why do you think the close grip heals quicker?
I moved my grip in on the normal bench a while back, and I felt stronger for it. How close do you go for normal bench and how close do you go for close grip?

on regular atm my middle finger is just outside the outer ring and on close grip my pinky is just outside the inner ring, my close grip isnt all that close but i dont see why it should be

Yeah, I don’t see the point of going too close on the close grip - think it would put too much pressure on my wrists.
Konstantinovs looks like he could drink anyone under the table! Haha.
it will be the ultimate irish vs russian drinking, i say that if its beer im good to go if its vodka im screwed based on sterotypes and my ability to drink massive amounts of beer

Ha I didn’t know you were Irish! You would probably win the beer contest, but vodka is evil stuff - only mean Russians can handle that shit.
