If it’s something I wrote then I already have.
If it’s something you wrote then, maybe, later, if I haven’t already - I wouldn’t say it’s impossible…
I am happy to see that there are a good many decent folks here debating intelligently. I was going to respond to some stuff, but I see others have done it brilliantly already. Those of you with well argued and defended positions (who also agree more or less with me) I salute you! I am glad to be passing the torch into good hands as I do not have time, or really even to will to participate like I used to. The new blood is great. Keep up the good work!
Has anyone heard from @Jewbacca2? I hope he is okay and I wish him and his family the very best.
@jcpjcp this is the sole time I will reply to any comment you make on any post of any thread you make, because I find you a zero sum contributor.
Matt 25:
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Jesus’ brethren are the Jews, like it or not.
You interpret this to mean that only Jews are His brethren, or that Jews are included in His brethren?
This my interpretation as the passage is written.
I know that many might use this verse for Christian application in day to day life. But it is my opinion the literal meaning is what is most intended.
First we need to know that this event is to occur at the end of Jacob’s Trouble (aka The Great Tribulation.) This is the final judgment of the Jews prior to the Millennial Kingdom. So if you are either pre-Tribulation or post-Tribulation rapture of the Church, the Church is not present for this judgment. The Church is not a brethren of Jesus, the Church will have been wed to Jesus in the third heaven. The Church is His bride.
The remnant of Jews living at the end of Jacob’s Trouble will be welcomed into their promised Millennial Kingdom. This event mentioned in Matt 25;31-46 is the judgment of all the nations of people who lived through the Great Tribulation. They will be separated based on how they treated the brethren of Jesus. Here’s where I am not confident where the separation is by persons or by nations. Regardless, none of these people are brethren of Jesus. But they could treated the Jews with compassion.
Take that explanation or leave it, but that is how I interpret the passage.
Just remember that if you are a Christian you are not being judged here. You will have already been judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
They’re trying to leave hamas holding the bag after the fact.
And probably don’t want to find out what happens when 2 entire battle groups declare open season on their evil asses.
They worry more about what would happen internally if war is brought to their country.
Yeah. Their religious/political structure depends on the population being more angry at someone else.
I vaguely remember the revolt in the late 70’s. I was like 8-9 at the time.
I thought they were going to take the fight to America and kill us all?
Pretty disappointing.
Its hard to know the true capabilities unless you’re privy to that kind of information, but my one brother said that when ONE full battle group pulls up to your shores you’re in serious trouble.
So, Iran & Hezbollah might be having some second thoughts about that whole “Death To America!” pep rally they had going over there.
I’d bet if the ships that are already there lined up side by side along Gaza and opened up with everything they have, we’d be calling it Gaza Bay in about a week.
2 of my best buds from law school were former Navy and both served multiple tours on aircraft carriers.
Those battle groups are NASTY.
The destroyers alone would make quick work of that area. Don’t even need to mention the carrier and multiple nuclear subs lurking around.
Place as small as Gaza, it would not take 24 hours.
With Biden…i doubt it
I deleted my comment last night because I felt it was too harsh towards you.
That was a mistake. Your PWI comments are selfish, childish and offer no meaningful insight into any subject you comment on.
It’s no surprise you think everyone is stupid except you.
You might have noticed that I’m civil, articulate and engaging with people that are worth it.
You just aren’t one of them, you canadian pole smoking communist.
You’re a rotting groundhog smeared on the slow lane of the information super highway. ![]()
I think you’re right about that. They can, but won’t.
Also, these aren’t just insults. These are linguistic works of art custom contoured to the individual.
“Your mom is so fat…” is just an insult.
“If you were an Autobot, youd be a sequined Prius being driven across the Golden Gate Bridge by Liberace, on his way to his boyfriends house” is a fucking journey. It conveys a level of fuckery that has has its own place in this world. Right next to your dildos.
