Some people on PWI are mentally challenged and their viewpoints add very little to the discussion except for misrepresentation, falsehoods and skewed perceptions [in reply to posts].
Exposing yourself to those posters and their, sometimes, vitriolic and hurtful posts is unnecessary to me.
I think I have two posters on ignore, ZEB and kneedragger. If Pushharder is on his period I’ll put him on ignore too but he isn’t currently.

If you’re trolling, I’ll ignore. If you sound like a wild-eyed madman, I’ll ignore. If you’re consistently dishonest in posts, I’ll ignore. If you can’t direct replies to me without vulgarity, I’ll ignore. You don’t have to understood why I do so, as I don’t care if you ever do.
I have no one on ignore and doubt I ever will, but I have considered it for a couple people who regularly post crap not worth reading, most of them are regulars in GAL, though. I think there is only one person in PWI that I considered but I have fun sifting through his inane logic, general ignorance, and sometimes outright lies. Also, it is pretty easy to just ignore the worst ones by not reading and not responding to them.

How long do you give them before the axe comes down?
Also, I think it would be a good idea to have to put in a reason for putting someone on ignore and having them informed, just so they know they are being ignored and why. I doubt many would care, but it may help some people fix their attitude a little bit.
I personally don’t have anyone on ignore, and I ignore lots of people in practice, but I don’t begrudge anyone who uses it - why not employ modern technology to weed out the idiocy for a more enjoyable scan, review and reading of posts? That’s just efficiency at work.

Well if you’re a conspiracy nut (9-11 truther, etc.) it’s automatic. I don’t hang around the crazy guy on the street corner jabbering on about brain control waves being broadcast from his TV. I’ve nothing to learn from the crazy. Learned my lesson some time ago. Darn sure won’t waste my time arguing with crazy. Or, even spending the time to simply scroll past it. Same with trolls. I’m not wasting my time on someone’s troll topics. Or with them, at all. The Clip’s, the Headhunters, etc. They fit in one or both of the above.
If it’s vulgarity aimed in my direction, one warning. If I’m convinced someone has been flat out dishonest, and won’t retract it, continuing on instead with an obvious lie, they’ll eventually get ignored. Again, it’s not me thinking I’m somehow ‘punishing’ them. Oh, I’m certain they could care less I’ve ignored them. It’s just me cleaning the crazy, the dishonest, the internet troll/jokester, and the vulgar out of my “nothing else to do at the moment” time at the computer.

You want and like the abuse you get T, because it re-affirms your beliefs.
Since I don’t share your beliefs I also don’t particularly enjoy abuse.
I have one on ignore and only because he is an “insufferable idiot” and had no personality or sense of humor to make up for it.
I personally don’t give a rip about how people post but if a poster takes up lots of space all while never having an honest contribution to the conversation then I can easily just scroll past - and often do.

The person I have on ignore had my reasons for it detailed and made clear. The other moron was such a tool he was kicked the fuck out of the whole site…
