The Gravity Wars!

Mock Meet went Better than expected. Everybody hit at least 1 PR. I will post all the numbers when I figure out every body else’s attempts :smiley:

Mine went:

Squat
595-625-Pass

Bench
385-415-x441x

Deadlift
585-625-655-x675x

I was a bit more aggressive with my attempts. My game plan was to go for PRs or pass on third attempts.

1st Squat was highly questionable depth, 2nd I got bent over really bad and wasnt sure if I mis-grooved it or I was just weak so passed on my third.

Bench 415 moved fast and 441 (200kg and yes I am counting the clips to give me an extra pound hahaha) came off my chest but I doubt it was that close.

Deads FLEW. My issue with deads is entirely thinking too much but when the weights get heavy I psych myself up and dial it in. This is going to be addressed next offseason.

In the moment I thought the 655 was 665 but it wasnt. The 675 was locked out but there was downward movement so reds. In the GWF 4ths count for Lift records but not totals.

Grand total was 1695 at the same body weight as last time. I will take it.

Rest of the year I am going to have little to no structure in my training so this will get fun.

210lbs pretty consistantly lately.

Couple of misses. That 441 was a lot closer than I thought buuuuut still not that close. I will post some more videos in the next few days. Somebody tricked me into buying her a dress so off to shopping (and quite probably day drinking :smiley: )

AH and I noticed with my deads I am standing too far from the bar and the first thing the bar does is crash into me before coming up. I think this has to do with the floor because I pull the bar close then it rolls away…#globogym

Damn that 441 was close! Do you have your hands a little more narrow than the “pinkies on the rings” width?

Love the enthusiasm going on there for the deadlift!

My home gym does this too, but only one side of the bar rolls away from me lol

I measure a thumb length from the smooth and it comes out to be about an inch and a half inside the rings.

I want to move my grip out but my delts just cant handle it…yet. One more thing to play with this month.

I am already brainstorming how to flatten a floor for a home gym.

Zercher Squats were not fun, I would rather do Front Squats I think. Zercher Carries would be a lot more fun.

Incline Bench wasnt terrible on my shoulders but I only worked up to 105lbs.

DECEMBER:
I have a lengthy list of things I want to try and do but other than that there is zero structure.

And aside from some lower back tightness I am healthier than I have been in forever.

Ok off to Cancun to see a friend and probbaly the 4D movie theater. Probably some football too. HAPPY SUNDAY!!!

LOL Cancun Sunday

Really long story buuut we escaped a 2 hour wait list by crashing some friends’ table that were there by coincidence. The 4.5 of them were on their 2nd bottle of Tequila at 407pm. I say 4.5 because 1 was in no condition to be considered whole and he went to sleep in a car shortly after we got there.

I am not judging, I love this stuff. No worries, cares, times or dates. Let the fun fly whenever it can.

I will miss these spontaneous hoodluming moments, they just dont happen in “the North” were every body is a lot more conservative, proper…and boring. Sure they party at the club every weekend and usually thursdays but that is soooo like 2006. :smiley:

LOL Fat ASS…100kg in the AM…I only stepped on the scale so I could laugh. I ate junk pretty much all weekend and had more than 1 drink Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Sick and slept most of Tues, Wed and Thurs. Feeling much better today. Off all the sauce (except TRT) but still having some side effects (back pump but sleep is a ton better)…really cant wait to never run tren again. Enanthate just isnt fun like Ace but daily injections suck. I also think I will be able to accomplish all my goals next year with either Test and/or Mast. Maybe some Superdrol.

I’m a little jealous of this. I’m not one to abuse pharmaceuticals so I’d have no problem controlling myself. It’d be damn nice to be able to walk in and buy my antibiotics along with the Sudafed when I have a sinus infection.

LOL weekend wasnt great for physical training but I kept the belt tight.

My recovery took a huge hit now that the Supps are mostly out of my system…not missing the sides though. Libido coming back is a huge help to my marriage LOL. (I used to think women are so complicated, maybe I hit the lottery but keeping Wifey happy is a lot like the stereotypes for bros).

Just been trying as many things as possible in the gym to see what I like and dont for next year.

So far I have eliminated Zercher Squats, Incline Bar Pressing (will use dumbells), belt Squats and Banded Back Extensions.

Yates Rows are awesome and calves will be trained until they start to affect my Squats or I remember how little I care about them.

And been packing a bunch. We leave next Tuesday but will be crashing at a friends house on Monday so I might not train much this week.

OK Off for round 2 in the gym. Probably try Pendlays and do some Cable Rows while wifey hits Bench and Rows.

I hate them hahahaha they were super uncomfortable and awkward. I will try to do some Zercher Carries but at this advanced age of mine unless I love them or think they will be too much help not to do them I am not going to make the time for them.

Fluffy I havent been great at cutting carbs so I just switched to the fat boy wedding ring. My current macros are best described as High Protein, Low Fat, Too many Carbs and Moderate Booze.

My motivation for the gym is going up and my body is a ton less “creaky”. I havent had that awesome workout yet but I feel like its only a matter of time before things start clicking.

Cardio Mountain pretty embarrassing, in my defense I did do a bunch of pressing yesterday and I suck at reps anyways. On the plus side I finally completed a Cardio Mountain!!!

Yes I am tracking my bicep results more closely than anything else LOL FULL BRO MODE ENGAGED!!!

I havent left the gym feeling better than I went in in a LONG time. This felt amazing. Squats felt light, deads not so much but we are getting there.

It is highly probably that Deads get their own day and an adjusted program for that.
