Maybe the sriracha covers up the bitterness.
I just can’t get over how they smell like straight up farts regardless of who cooks them. They taste great though.
The Golden Rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated. I don’t think people apply this to big life decisions like children.
If you were a kid then would you want your dad in your life? Probably, so don’t be a dick and bail when you accidentally impregnate some poor girl.
Also, would you like it if your dad had multiple kids with multiple women and was married to none of them? No? Then don’t do that.
I know some people start out life behind the 8 ball, but at some point you start having control over the hand you’re dealt and how you handle it. I’m tired of people living fucked up lives and blaming other people for it.
The victim mentality is the most infuriating thing in the world.
I just finished reading The Boy Crisis yesterday and the amount of dysfunction by not having your father around, especially for boys, is absolutely staggering. The fact that it isn’t common sense that if your dad wasn’t around and it messed you up, maybe you’d try and break the cycle by being around for your kid.
The majority of the kids I see on my beat are just flat out ignored. The people who created them (it’s hard to call them parents) are selfish and the kids are an inconvenience. It’s neglect. If you’ve ever been around a small child then you know how they’re naturally inclined to be selfish, angry, and volatile. Parents have to groom them and teach them to handle their emotions. If you don’t do that then you get grown ass babies who are violent roaming the streets… aka the 'hood.
Do you think it’s a cultural thing specific to those areas, lack of education and resources, or something along those lines that causes those areas to keep repeating the same cycle? I assume victim mentality plays a huge part
I’ve known a solid hand full of them and it always ends the same way. A short shitty life that ends badly.
Good thing you got some distance between you before it affected you and yours badly.
I think it’s culture. It’s learned behavior. The educational opportunities are there. The resources are there. They just choose to ignore them.
A few years ago I worked with the boy’s basketball team at my wife’s school. I’ve seen two of those boys choose not to go to college on scholarships. They had potential and they had a chance to get out but they’re back in the 'hood. Both also have older brothers who are Blood gang members. The 'hood life sucked them back in. It’s frustrating to watch.
Confession: I find myself rushing through the top-half part of 21s out of fear of someone only seeing that part of my set and looking like the guy who only comes to the gym to half-rep curls.
he tore it rowing like 6000lbs
He was still warming up.

That’s pretty wild Yogi mayne, unbelievable to me that a human could even row that much. That’s straight up ridiculous…and I like it. Would suck so bad having anything tragic happen to the biceps though, they’re most aesthetically pleasing muscles I have so I would be devastated.
yeah it pretty much ended his career, if I remember rightly
He actually competed another year or two, with a triceps tear (almost fully detached if I recall) being the final thing. If you watch his last Olympia he could barely flex it but no one else knew at the time.

So I did workout one of the 10,000 kettlebell swing challenge yesterday. I knew I was out of shape but damn. Did zero rest between the 10-15-25 sets (just pushups) then three minutes of rest after the 50 sets, which I needed.
I wanted to wimp out after 300 reps, but stuck out the 500. Was expecting real soreness today like after a big leg day, and I feel strangely refreshed with mild soreness. What dark magic is this?!
Really hoping this (along with a deficit) will be what helps me get <200# and lean out again. Then I realized I’m following a plan written by this guy:

¯_(ツ)_/¯
Do you know how he tore his triceps?
I’m glad to hear it’s unbelievable to you that a human could row 6000#.
Shhh just let him spread the newly minted rumor around the world. It’s only 5x the most weight ever lifted by a human. Let Dorian have this one.
Guys guys…
No one said it was 6000lbs all at once.
Come on now, amateur hour stuff here.
Accumulated volume…classic.
