I’ve unified the world of Xeen several times.
Try Pillar of eternity, awesome game by the same guy!
I was a call of duty addict on PS3 and then came the kid. No more time for gaming
Best. Game. Ever.
Silver dragon must be killed!!
I am right at that spot! I played a solo monk a while back and, just for funsies, one shot killed her with a quivering palm. So anti-climatic. This current party already killed the red dragon, so this shouldn’t be too tough. Evil is just too fun.
@Patlafauche Appreciate the tip. Is it the same game engine? I hate learning new things, haha.
So did I about 15 years ago. I remember it being ridiculously powerful towards late game. Spell resistance or something.
Yeah, just completely broken. High spell resistance, hands are +4 or +5 weapons, always hasted, etc. And on top of all that, they level up quickly.
Reminds me of Shining Force II. There’s a female character you can boost to the top level (99 iirc) just by healing your entire party over and over and over again. She becomes unstoppable, lol.
You can find anything on the internet, lol:
Fighting games are also notorious for giving characters movesets that are impossible to defend against or do enormous damage or both.
Ya, I was going to pickup DragonBall Z Fighter, but I sorta figured that’d be the case and I don’t want to break a controller…
Looks like I responded in the wrong thread lol
Yeah it’s all coming back to me now. I think that was my first play through. I didn’t solo but it sure seems do-able with how that monk tore through everything. Awesome game.
I just went to buy it but they want $20 for it on steam! I’ll wait until they run it on sale for like $5.
I think of all the things I miss about life before marriage gaming is at the top of the list, between my two brothers and I we racked up about 8,000 hours on call of duty mw2 and who knows how much on a bunch of other ones. Now I have two jobs, three little boys, and a wife that hates video games. Every now and then when she’s not around I’ll crack open the original Unreal Tournament or age of empires and remember the good old days before I got myself into this gaming wasteland
I’m starting to go the way most of you have and stay out of the 531 forum. Endless questions about the same shit and ridiculous minutia are becoming annoying to say the least. God have mercy on Jim. No wonder he hates everything haha
It’s pretty brutal in there, although sometimes the level of curmudgeon from the posters is kinda funny.
I haven’t had payed a video game in years but will play with a Rubik’s cube or similar puzzle type game for ages !!
Confession: I’ve finally done it, I’ve given up on my calves ever growing, sure…I put in the requisite work with 75-100 reps every leg day, but in my heart, my soul…I know that nothing will work, and I’ve finally accepted it haha Feels good to get it off my chest, what a weight to have lifted!
I really, genuinely, truly thought that when 5/3/1 Forever came out, all the questions would be done. It’s the most “broke out the crayons and drew you a picture” book ever written by Jim, and people STILL have questions.
“Hey Jim, I know you wrote this 300 page book and it has 50 different programs in it that are all spelled out, but I looked at them all and I hate them; can I run God is a Beast and Leviathan at the same time while doing none of the conditioning? Oh, also, my gym has no squat rack and I’m covered in bees all the time. Plus, I live off a diet of sunlight and exhaust fumes.”
I hear ya. I recall a few years ago deciding to train them really hard for an extended period of time to see if I could bring them up even a bit. To assess progress, I decided to ask my son, who had been away at college for 4 months and thus might be in a position to say if they’d changed. The following is a transcript of that conversation:
Me (flexing): Son, do my calves look any bigger to you?
Son: No.
