The Flame-Free Confession Thread

No doubt. I enjoy this hobby so much that, I want to still be doing it at 55+ pain free. If I’m hurting at 35, I can’t imagine what 55 will feel like. Regardless, I will still be doing WHAT I CAN at 55, probably similar to yourself. I bet you have off limit lifts/exercises. I’m OK with that, now that I’m FINALLY mature enough to realize I don’t have to squat or deadlift to progress in physique or even strength. There’s so many ways to do this, thank goodness.

Rip LOVES cheat curls!

Good Info.

I’ve been unfair to Rip. Dude probably does more curls than I do. It’s still a great picture.

Edit:
Also interesting that Rip mentions the curl as shoulder flexion. Let’s be careful not to explode our shoulders by hammering delts/pecs/biceps all at once, now that we’re all gonna be instagram models.

You win that bet.

Women appreciate big arms, probably more than any other muscle group. For the most part, they don’t really care about bench weight, or squat weight, or stone weight, but they like seeing big, muscular arms on their man.

In my experience, it’s glutes, shoulders and lats, in that order. Arms are way down the list, at least for the women I know.

These days, it seems pretty much all women dig glutes. Broad shoulders are also a given, though I didn’t state either of those in my last post. My bad. It’s interesting how the women you know prefer different muscles on a man. I’d estimate the majority of women I know have a baseline preference for muscular arms, even if they don’t recognize it.

I feel left out since it’s reverse for me. I’m the wife that trains and my husband just works a bunch lol.

@planetcybertron If you could easily convince your husband to workout with you (assuming y’all can afford it, etc.) would you, or do you prefer to lift on your own? 0r would you want him to lift on his own?

I’ve found I like the idea of lifting with my S/O, but the one serious girlfriend I had who was interested in lifting just didn’t click with me as a training partner. Have you and your husband ever lifted together?

Yea we have. He needs some help starting out. And would benefit from a coach/trainer just to understand technique.

But he works overnight, and he works quite a bit, so when I want to go to the gym, he’s just now getting home. Once I finish my degree and start working, he can back off of working so much, but until then it’s not a big deal, If he wishes to tag along he can.

I can train alone or with my husband or friends. I don’t mind. At the moment I train alone because my husband works and I have no friends lol.

And since he doesn’t really lift or do anything in the gym, I think he would want to be lifting partners so he wouldn’t feel so intimated at first.

Confession. Needed 1 minute to make sense of that

Care to translate?

Used “To” in the second line of the meme instead of “Too”

But to was the correctness?

“I’m ‘too’ afraid ‘to’ ask”

Makes more sense if you read it backwards.

Once i downed just over half a gallon of milk. I was sick for a week.

I never attempted gomad ever again.

Whoops. Shows how drunk I am right now
