Don’t feel bad. I thought FTW was “Fucks the World” for the longest time.
It used to. Back before the internets when it was scribbled on jean jackets with shiny silver paint marker next to an Iron Maiden patch.
AKA ‘the good ol’ days.’
When i was in grade 4 , i got bullied and started pushing a wheelbarrow full of bricks to get strong. It was working till i fucked my back up. Moral of the story is never push a wheelbarrow full of bricks
Do things like this ever piss any of you guys off? Granted I don’t know his weight or age, or how long he has been training, but still. I haven’t met many guys between 16-20 that can’t pull 315 and taking that to a 5 rep max happens from those 3 weeks of consistency. I dunno, I just don’t see it as a huge thing for rob to brag about. If it was 585 for 1 that he started doing for 5 or something similar, yes, but 315… in not sure. I’m so tired of seeing online coach shit like this.
EDIT: The fact that he said skrong baby is a product of the culture as well I’m beginning to tire of.
Hey bro. He’s Skrong AF. Time to go hit curls.
why do you waste your time reading what these idiots have to say?
Like, when was the last time you learnt something from one of these online weightlifting douches?
EDIT: that’s not meant to be any kind of attack on you, if that’s how it comes across. I’m genuinely curious as to why a guy like you who knows what he’s doing in the gym would waste his time on these assholes.
It was an instagram post I passed by. I follow Rob’s page because hes a jacked, strong dude. I just didn’t understand why he was acting as if his program was a godsend to an obvious new lifter and it got me thinking about all the times people would brag about getting “gains” from increasing their bench from 155 to 185 for 2 or something. Something they could obviously do on any program with consistency.
Maybe this wasn’t explained well, but that is one of his clients. Rob pulls 850, has inclined 495 for 5 and is jacked to the gills.
I won’t write about it in an open forum, but dammit when any fitness author/coach/youtube wannabe celery mentions competing, and only ever shares close up, cleverly cropped photos of themselves, even sometimes in accompaniment of their personal recounting of just how their contest went down (“I only lost because of my posing!”, “I would have been heavier but I messed up my carb up”, “The winner slept with the head judge”…), but NEVER EVER showing a picture of the actual line up, or any other mandatory or relaxed poses, I lose my sh-t to my close circle of bodybuilder friends.

I don’t even know what feeling I have anymore about this. What sort of insane understanding of irony does one have to have in order to sit down and intentionally remember to misspell something purely for the sake of looking like they accidentally typed it incorrectly for the sake of communicating some sort of meta-ironic jab at being intelligent.
I just envision these people writing out a post in proper prose and English, only to double back and remember “I have to write THIS word slightly wrong in this one specific way so that everyone will KNOW how ironic I am!”
Uh…
I’m pretty sure I can bang out 5 reps of 315. And I’ve blown my back out already.
Me and my friends used to wheel barrow eachother down the street and see who can ram someone else into a solid object the hardest. Lol
Do people sweat in gyms anymore?
I sweat a lot anyway but fuck me, I have not spotted a single drop or seen a shirt with sweat marks in months…
Is there some spray I’m not aware of?
Man I’m grouchy today. Must me my period or something
Um that has got to be the worst story moral I have read in quite awhile! Haha There are not many days I go where I don’t push a wheelbarrow which usually has bricks (or even heavier cement) and I have never hurt myself doing it…
There is only one possible outcome now…
IN B4 rehab thread next week?
I usually get really sweaty in the gym and it makes me kind of self-conscious not seeing others doing it.
