Man the way you introduced that I thought he was going to get steam rolled… then he picks up the other kid! LOL
That was such a phenomenal degree of control to NOT slam the dude. Shows your kid is a total beast and a class act/good sport for staying within the rules.
“I’m about to pin you bitch.”
Man! Could you ask him to chill a little?
That song didn’t even get through the intro.
Since it is the confession thread- In 8th grade I lost a match in 12 sec. Shot a take down with my elbows out. He under-hooked, tossed me and bam! over!
That wasn’t even fair. Your son literally didn’t even have to wrestle, he just manhandled him lmao. Picked him up and gently placed him on his back ![]()
Since we’re on the subject of quick pins…
I had a seven-second fall in the first round of the sectional tournament as a junior in high school. Wasn’t really “going” for a fast pin either - I just took an underhook, the poor kid fell pretty much straight onto his back and it was over.
Remarkably, this occurred less than a minute after our 215-pounder scored a FIVE-second pin, so I didn’t even set our school record for fastest pin.
I’ll see if I can find a cached version of the newspaper story from the next day.
This post did not get nearly enough likes. Grade-A stuff right there.
Related: what’s with the guys that have been training for a modest period of time, usually a few months but less than a year, who write posts and dispense advice with the tone of social-media celebrities working to inspire their legion of fans?
(there’s one recent example, but it’s a semi-regular occurrence)
I fee like this could go in the direction of the previous thread of “when are you experienced enough to give advice”…
To be honest though, is there ever really a time when you deem yourself worthy enough to give out advice?
Afternoon picnic at the park with lots of families from my daughters school. One mum rescued my son from a tree and another dad tells me that his 6 yr old son and my 6 yr old daughter were flashing their privates at each other. He looked absolutely horrified, I thought it was funny. Turns out when I asked her, they were not flashing but trying to pee in a bucket. That’s OK then…play on!!!
Makes me laugh how parents react to wierd things kids do.
I hope who ever makes the 5000th post on this thread confesses all their sins.
The truth shall set them free
1 post closer to the 5k mark
Once I hit my first 600lb deadlift, I felt like it meant I knew a thing or 2.
I had a serious trophy case with 7 class wins, 2 overalls and 2 pro cards and my wife still had to “talk me down” when I’d wonder aloud why people kept asking for my help -lol
Humility? Self doubt? Hopefully just an honest appraisal that there are still people I know I can learn from despite what I’ve done on my own. Probably also an explanation why I bristle so much watching people try to create (fabricate?) an aura of authority around themselves online.

Nope this was a special circumstance…
He going to go balls out this year if hes going to out achieve his brother in wrestling , since sadly hes a Senior. He would have to actually punch his ticket to the State finals . BUT he was Team captain of his Football squad which his older brother wasnt.
Slight misdirect on my part… plus my sarcasm added to it.
Its called he has a Sports Mom who would have tore him a new one… Past Football season he got Flagged for a cheap hit. OH did the the shit hit the fan from mama…LOL
OH hell no!! Get in get it done.
Hes the type that does better being aggressive on the mat . Not so good when he has to wrestle a more defensive and relying on counter moves.
At the last moment I decided to add this Video clip from his Sophomore year… The title in the video is misleading since hes doing a legal Claw Lift… which is way more impressive than what he did the other night,
Honestly, I have zero issue with beginners giving out advice. I think where allot of conflict arises in forums is when beginners want to overreach on certain subject matters. Which evidently may lead to situation where they are not wanting to concede that someone might be more experience and knowledgeable then they are.But , I am sure you have never ran into that… ![]()
lol of course not. It almost never happens!

That’s how I did it when I was 11 years old.
