What I really hate is the continuation of the conversation about someone they kinda know of that’s slightly tall.

I want to eventually get into American Ninja Warrior / Parkour type training. I think it keeps you/gets you incredibly athletic. Would still never give up squats or cleans though lol.
I’ve had three guys in the past few weeks come up to me and say that I am going to hurt my back deadlifting without a belt and I’m loving every minute of it. I’ve actually never worn a belt or squat shoes or sleeves or wraps or anything in my life. Only straps really. And even then I don’t use them all the time. Woe is me for having issues when I’m 80 I guess. Maybe then they will be right and can laugh at my old crippled ass.
And now, my confession: There’s something about my psychological makeup that makes me lust after completely unobtainable women. I mentioned this to my father, and apparently there’s a club that I can join.

Isn’t it kind of an obligation to call out bullshit advice so that it doesn’t multiply and become “this guy on Tnation totally told me…” as a young lifter goes for his fifth day of heavy deadlifting in a row?
Even the most well-intentioned bullshit can be an injury waiting to happen. Who knows? The guy who posted sed bullshit might even be bright enough to take notes and learn.
Hahah I had this happen to me a couple weeks ago! The funny thing is that after he told me this he went back to back squatting on the Smith Machine with his feet directly under the bar. I’ve only ever done that once and my knees felt like exploding.
It’s amusing but I kinda do appreciate the fact that certain people out there are still just trying to help… In their own misguided kinda way.
I always have people tell me that Snatches are really bad for my shoulders and it’s not a “natural” movement. Funny thing is my posture and mobility have dramatically increased since snatching lol.
