It’d be so much better if I had a respectable total, but I do miss having somebody to compete against.
I’m always up for online competitions sir. If you don’t mind me being half your weight
I don’t in the least. In one racing a buddy to a 600 dl, but I’ll gladly accept a challenge.
If you buy a small whiteboard with a grid on it (or tape/permanent mark a grid on) and are really nice to your gym staff, they may keep a “gym records” board up for you and officiate it.
It isn’t as good as everyone lifting heavy shit but it may be enough to increase the pool of heavy lifters. Especially if you track the top 5 and the 5th person is within a few months work of the average joe.
Management may freak out or they may buy right into it and all of a sudden you change the culture of the joint.
That’s actually an awesome idea!
Once you hit that, you’re welcome to join me in a race to 605x3.
If you have a trap bar, I’m planning on doing some silly farmers carries
I’m good with that.
Yes. We’ve got some ripped guys, some impressive technical oly lifters, but I can’t think of anyone else who’s routinely deadlifting or squatting 300+ pounds.
I’ve literally never read anything from Christian Thibodeaux that I cared for. I’m not trash talking him or saying anything bad about what he’s contributing, but I suppose it’s just not for me.
I agree ![]()
Reason being?
You ever hear a band that sounds like you’d like them but you just don’t? It’s not that they’re bad or you dislike them, but you just don’t like them.
That’s the best way I can describe it. He’s probably a great guy and I’m sure he’s probably improved the lives of many through his work. I’ve just never gotten excited to try out something he’s written about or just sat back and really thought deeply about how what he’s saying should impact me.
It’s like two parallel lines: no points of intersection.
And by all means if someone’s a CT fanboy the way I am with Dave Tate and Louie Simmons I’d never try to take that from them or say he sucks or that’s stupid. He just has never “done it” for me.
Thats funny. As I was reading through your previous posts and getting a little bit of a sense about you those two are exactly who I figured would be more aligned with.
Tom Morrison > John Rusin
I like John Rusin, and think he’s putting out some of the best, if not the best, content on this website at the moment.
Suck it!
Tom Morrison = Mini Jujimufu
My facepull form is perfect that’s for sure.

When you get old and brittle like @Yogi1, you too will care more about hip thrusts, one legged movements and facepulls than actually lifting.
I got your back Yogi.
I’m going to take that as a compliment, though it may not be intended as one. ![]()
