This reference escapes me

How this actually ends up playing out:
"Your crazy old man told me to go hard on you, tell him I made you setup and disinfect all the equipment before client sessions, take full notes on everything I said and how each client was going, told you that you couldn’t interact with anyone until I’m convinced you got your shit together. Also add some colour like we call you newbie and I made you squat til you puked to see if you ‘got what it takes’ (air quotes)
Now, let’s go for a coffee and talk about how we’re dealing with this week’s clients"
Sheiko might actually be killing me
My lab results came back and my GFR dropped seven points. The only change I’ve made Since the last test was starting Sheiko
It’s sorta like if you smoke 2 packs a day and go running and determine running is killing you.
I agree he might have …
Exactly… he mentioned to my wife hes got some odd idea that it will be a cake walk. Thanks for the compliment.
If he gets involved heavily into the fitness field I will hang myself. Not sure what he wants to do at this point… at first it was him going into the sports medicine field. Now hes looking at becoming a Professor .
Thats not what I meant… for clarification I want him to expect allot from him. For the record the
individual in question and myself text back and force several times a week and known him over 5 years and I lift with him from time to time… So its not like I am some stranger.
Whereas it’s actually living that’s killing you
100% mortality rate.
Sorry, I don’t think the Tongue in cheek tone came through
Have you been watching me for the past several years or something?
you have been a prominent presence on this forum ![]()
Nah, parents were both smokers growing up. Dad heavily so. Never picked up the habit, but know it by proxy.
My mom’s dad smoked for 30 years. 3 years ago, he decided he was getting too old for it and quite cold turkey… at 85…
@SkyzykS My uncle was in a similar situation as you. Unfortunately, he wasn’t so lucky
It’s just funny. I was visiting and catching up with some old friends this afternoon and said that very thing.

He was the baby of the family- we still haven’t told my grandpa
Most of my Exercise Science classmates stayed in town and interned at the Y.
My boss and I went to DC for the NSCA National Conference. We checked out the hotel bar first thing and met a couple ladies attending the conference. We just talked at the bar but one of them turned out to be one of the head strength coaches at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. She told me about tru their internship program.
Guess who got an internship at the Training Center? This guy. But, I went to Lake Placid, NY in January instead of sunny California.
My point is that I think the personal relationship opened the door to the possibility, but I earned my place through the process. Maybe your son did the same.
But really you’re weeping with admiration for my incredible strength of will.
Actually, yes. Especially with that choice of toppings.
I’d have eaten the whole thing and part of the box like a raccoon.
If there’s any consolation, there’s always a perpetual dark cloud over Chula Vista…
