Maybe stop worrying about progress photos and minute weight differences concerning a program you haven’t finished yet?
For the record my two smart ass son’s tells their buddies I’m a teddy bear. Little bastards !
On a completely unrelated note, I found a hack for free coffee.
Walk into Au Bon Pain around opening time, grab a cup, fill it up and walk out. The cashier and three employees literally saw me get coffee and walk out and said NOTHING. One even smiled…
yeah. I’m in the 6th (last) week though and am loving the squat strength gains. Can’t say my press has done very well though
Is that a hack or is it just straight up theft?
It’s only theft if the people running the place treat it as such. Walking out in plain sight of the cashier and 3 employees seems like a strange reaction to theft
Tom Platz level im sure.
I agree. Sounds like all your ‘hacks’ are borderline illegal.
My legitimate hacks are asking for double meat, at chipotle, after they have scooped the first one. Otherwise, you just end up 25% more meat if you ask initially.
When I worked retail, we had a “do not pursue” policy with shoplifters. Store got sued bad one time when a shoplifter got pursued, beat up, and ended up dying from a pre-existing heart condition. So, instead, the store just factored an amount of profit loss from shoplifting into their calculus.
This is absolutely still theft.
I agree. I always caveat them by say ing they’re semi legal. Most of them were taught to me by older students who have experience getting the most out of their overpriced meal plans
I’ll try that one once I have enough money to actually afford eating out ![]()
This was easily one of the most important revelations I have made in the last 5 years.
Also, I tried chipotles new carne asada yesterday… it could only be described as a religious experience…
Moes > Chipotle. And Chipotles queso sauce is terrible.
I sometimes like to post my irrational thoughts on this forum to get my BS called out by wiser individuals. It helps when others confirm my more rational side- using confirmation bias to my advantage
“Do not pursue” is becoming standard policy for retail theft. Too many people getting stabbed, needles, etc.
There’s another side of that too though which is that employees not caring is not the same as the company not caring, since in most cases they don’t own the company and feel they have very little stake in its success. I think this is more likely what’s happening here.
Also for sure. Nothing gained for them acting to stop it.
I’d never do this outside the uni setting- ie in a legit starbuck or business even though there’ve been plenty of opportunities. As someone paying over 9k/year for food that’s worth less than 1k, I feel “free coffee” and extra servings are the least I can do to get the most value
Still theft if you’re expected to ordinarily expected to pay money.
Many stores in the U.S. deliberately avoid confrontation against thieves because the outcome of said confrontation can be significantly worse than the cost of the item being stolen.
These are all rationalizations for theft. Don’t do that to yourself. It’s a slippery slope.
If you can be at peace with your actions, that’s fine. When you have to convince yourself your action is right, it most likely isn’t.
I agree and would not be able to justify stealing from an actual store. My previous post explains my rationale for my current behavior. Also, please call me out on that logic too if it seems fit
Here’s your call out…your stealing, knock it off! Lmao
