I went to a Alice in Wonderland themed place once… turns out if was for adults. Full of hipsters, it was a nightmare. The owners were very paranoid about children too

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to not care about my fitness and building muscle, to just be content with an average dad bod, and not worry about hitting the gym.

I have a weird sense of time management. For example:

Me when teacher assigns project: crap, there’s not enough time to get this done!
Me when I finish assignment: Oh, the project isn’t due for another 2 weeks. What do I do now…?

Start on the Saturday before it is due… You’ll work better under pressure :+1:

Things I’ve learned today.

  1. What German volume training is.
  2. When doing German volume training bench work a spotter is mandatory.
  3. It’s kinda hard.
  4. One of you Tnation members is to blame for me finding GVT!!!
  5. A spotter is needed. Like for real :joy:

Bench was tough, went too light on BTN OHP and made it a joke. Next time I’ll try and die under the bar like bench. It felt pretty great.

Is anyone stupid enough to do GVT for deadlifts?

I rekon @kleinhound would give it a go for sure.

My next workout is leg day and I’m actually trying to figure out if I should do squats or dead’s for it. Dead’s would be much easier for me but squats probably more useful… idk what I’m gonna do. Maybe both

It wouldn’t be as bad for me as a normal human. My hips are so jacked up that a normal squat is 90% of T nation posters first warm up weight

But I am eating more. All I had to do was commit to losing weight, tell everybody I work with I’m losing weight, and magically my appetite goes through the roof and I’m eating more than normal now, so great time for GVT!

I would just get on a normal bodypart split if I were you. Go for light squats just to maintain technique, then load up the leg press and leg curl machine or whatever doesn’t screw up your hips.

Do deadlifts make anyone else fkn HUNGRY or is it just me !!

Yes. I always take some chocolate or protein bars with me to eat if I start feeling hungry.
Apparently skittles give you some energy mid workout, but I’m yet to try.
