I don’t know anyone else that does them.
Whilst we are on fast food. I haven’t eaten at Burger King (Hungry Jacks down here) or at Maccas for over 14 years. I have no real issue with them I just done like the food and think there are better options. I find it really odd that people take their kids to Maccas as a treat to have a family meal with a toy in it ??
Before I discovered the food hacks, there was a period where I was only getting around 5-6 servings of fruits/veggies a day (I’d been used to 12). I thought I was “adjusting” to the decreased intake, but nope… craving hit HARD:
Today at lunch, I got 2 large salad bowls + and apple and still wanted more so I went to another salad place and got another large salad… and still wanted more… I went back to the dorm to cook some salmon with kale and had that. While I was putting the almond milk back, I discovered a bag of spinach. Before I knew it, I pretty much unconciously grabbed the bag, tore it open and double fisted the entire thing while eyeing the onion in the corner. I was too lazy to cut the onion, so it lasted the day outside my digestive tract. Guess what I had for dinner…
I don’t understand the difference between CNS fatigue and just being tired.
I’m with you.
If they are the same then my CNS is not only currently fried, but has been for years.
There might not be anyone else who has that exact item, yes. I believe Jack in the Box has some type of french toast (hope I’m right there) and McDonalds has “hot cakes”. I suppose I should’ve included that I meant all similar foods (other forms of french toast and pancakes), not just specifically french toast sticks. (Which you’re right, BK is the only one I can think of.)
If I go to McDonald’s, there is a 5% chance my kids are behaving outside of what it normal for the environment and a 1% chance they will be the worst behaved and a 0.01% that they do something that will piss someone off enough that they decide to say/do something.
At a normal eatery those percentage are far, far, far less favorable lol
I used to think everything was CNS fatigue. I was stupid. True CNS fatigue is rare. If it was as common as some people would have you think, @T3hPwnisher would be blind, retarded, and virtually paralyzed from doing Deep Water. And he’d be on trial for peddling that CNS-murdering program to everyone on here.
McD used to be what my parents got me when I was being good.
I really like the chicken mcnugget and their breakfast sandwiches. I think they’re both legitimately awesome food.
In n Out burger is the fast food king of burgers on the West Coast. You must try them. The menu you see is not all they have. I recommend a 4x4 instead of the tiny little 2x2.
Drive 2 hours down to San Diego. Go eat proper tacos. Enjoy La Jolla while you’re at it- the place is beautiful.
As a general rule, fast food that originated in the U.S. taste far better overseas. It’s like they’re trying harder overseas because you can’t get anything better in the U.S. KFC sucks in the U.S. Popeyes or Chick-Fil-A are your go-to for fried chicken. McD is not as good as what you’d get overeas- get In n Out instead.
I was 100% counting on you posting that picture.
Wasn’t counting on Derp Water, though.
Bravo.
Is it possible the photo gave me CNS fatigue?
Honestly though I kinda wonder if it’s even a thing, or is it something people just say, like “sear the meat to seal in the juices” or “it’s a dry heat.”
Why do you think this is ? Surely you are not suggesting the food at maccas makes the better behaved ? I am assuming it is the environment. Or is it that their behaviour seems ok at maccas because the general behaviour standard there is low?
It’s just one tool of many we use to manipulate our kids into good behavior.
I can run a McDonald’s game on my kid and get 3 days of good behavior out of him.
I feel like if your central nervous system were to violently exit your body in the produce section of your local supermarket, that picture would be at around 97% CNS ejection.
Thank you for the suggestion, our host recommended el pollo loco which is about a block from our stay however when pressed about something a little more “off the grid” he mentioned theres a little vendor that backs off a couple of blocks down the road.
Tried chick-fil-a before, THAT was good.
Maybe it was because I set the bar low but it was the first food experience ive had here where ive gone “shit that was good”
I have told my kids from birth that if the maccas M is yellow and lit up then it means the restaurant is full. They are 6, 8 and nearly 10 now and when we drive past a maccas one of them will say… ‘oh look its full again’ !!
Fuck Derpwater.
