I intentionally avoided eating bananas or feeding them to the kids so that they’d start to go bad. My hope was that my wife would see them and decide that she’d better make banana bread or they’d be wasted.
It worked!

Mate that is a green light. Get out there and buy yourself a new rack. You deserve it and shouldn’t feel conflicted about spending some money on something you love and something that keeps you physically and mentally fit and happy.
4 years ago my wife said the same thing about me getting a classic car. I didn’t have to ask again as soon as I got the green light I bought one.
I’ve been doing the same thing with my mom. After several months of bunches going bad, I think she’s almost there.
A friend from the gym (fellow powerlifter) taught me some semi-legal food hacks that I’ve been trying out- all of them work:
Using these, I’ve been getting 4 more servings of veggies/day+ more value out of my overpriced meal plan
When the All- You-Can-Eat dining room opens up, I think I’ll suddenly develop short term memory loss about swiping ![]()
I would have thought stealing would be a pretty obvious food hack.
Apparently it’s a thing among hungry folks who can’t seem to get enough to eat when the servers are particularly stingy with portions
True… at the moment its not like we cant afford for me to go out and do so. My wife and myself have a frugal streak .
Well at the moment I have been window shopping online and eyeballing one of the models from Rogue since they are pretty damn sturdy along with separate different useful add ons that can be purchased separately.

My younger brother is smarter than I am

Why are you conflicted? She clearly said go ahead… I know it might be some reverse psychology from women, as in “go ahead and try you’ll be homeless”… But that wouldn’t sound so good on paper. Lol!
Time to visit rack section of elitefts!
Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it ![]()
His conflict isn’t whether to buy, it’s what type of rack and which brand ![]()

lol I totally get you! My brother’s doing multi variable as an hs junior, and that’s more math than I would ever have had to do if I didn’t go to CMU
As much as I like to stay brand loyal … in this case I find them over priced for my current situation with not allot of additional add -ons for my needs unlike several other companies to make their rack more versatile. Since I am wanting the most bang for my buck and space utilization.
@simo74 ok ok , probably will have a order in within a week
This is now the main issue after doing more research… I hadnt even considered Titan. Due to some negative reviews I had come across in the past on certain products . Looking into it more ,their rack line is very close to Rogue almost a clone ( not as sturdy but from what I gather not by much less) along with several of the same add-ons available. Apparently the Rogue add- ons are compatible with Titian but not visa versa . With Titian being cheaper while not being complete garbage along with their FREE Shipping I am leaning more heavily at them at this point. I know @Despade mentioning ordering Titian stuff so would not mind hearing his opinion on this.
I’ve bought a lot from titan and have their T2 rack, and couldn’t be happier with any of their stuff.
I know the T2 would be too low of a weight rating but I’m sure the T3 would work? They also have some very cool accessories for them! They just released some awesome barbell holders that holds the bars (2) close to the upright rear posts. I really like that.
Me: I think I’ll actually take Saturday off this week
Me after my Saturday coffee (my 1 cup a week): HIIT for the WIN!!!
Maybe things are different now, but it would be remiss of me not to show you this:

I LOVE Alan’s channel
Luckily I take him with a grain of salt. Seen several reviews from guys who do equipment reviews exclusively who have given decent reviews
I watched Brian Alsruhe do a video with Alan where they were talking about Alan coaching Brian. I know it was just hypothetical fun but all I could think was Brian wipes the floor with the people who coach Alan in a sport he doesn’t even try to compete in, plus Brian coaches several champions himself… Amazing the cred subscribers buy you.
