Bingo . There are a few exceptions but not many.
Individual with more than 10 lbs of fat to lose. Not really disagreeing with your approach but, I hate lowering calories for extended periods of time. If I want to lose some fluff I go full bore.
I’ll admit it’s more of the long game approach.
Lol sorry typo, but it was that stupid so could have been squat abs.
Wendler sugar coating his advice…not!
“if you want to lower body fat, quit training/eating heroin-chic and start gaining muscle. I’d rather you gain muscle and thus improve your body comp - than lose body weight and muscle and simply weigh less.”
“heroin-chic” -love it.
Confession: after coming back from China I have this habit of taking long naps from 3-5pm to 3-5am for 1-2 weeks
School starts tomorrow and I may still have this habit
Are you saying you are taking a 10 - 14 hour “nap”?
Why does this annoy you? It’s an opportunity if anything.
- People are hard wired to blame others. That means if it annoys you then you are going to be annoyed A LOT. That’s not a good way to be.
- As it’s a very human trait, you almost certainly do it yourself, even if you don’t realise it.
- I have done reasonably okay for myself and a whole bunch of that is probably me just picking the right time to take the higher ground and say "okay, we are where we are. We’re not getting anywhere pointing the finger at each other. How do we get out of this mess?* So it can work in your favour, use it don’t get annoyed by it
This makes your culture better. Getting annoyed or disgruntled or blacklisting the person just adds to the woe.
*Be careful when doing this with a significant other. You may enter the “I don’t want a solution, I want you to listen” territory
sigh people are hard lol
I would also like to confess that I am upping my “dad” game for the next while lol
EDIT: I had a quick look and I can’t see a ignore/block function on this site. Sorry
I respectfully disagree.
I disagree with this even more.
I can see your perception is different than mine, though. As a cop, I see this every single day. Guy gets drunk, I catch him and arrest him for DUI, but is my fault. He drives for a living and now he’s going to lose his job. It’s my fault. I’m ruining his life.
Guy beats up girlfriend, guy gets arrested. It’s her fault; she’s lying. The neighbor is lying; he didn’t drag her into the house by her hair. The neighbor is her friend and is lying for her. They’re all in it together. And now I’m in on it because I took her side. Forget about the injuries to her face and hair in the yard. He didn’t do it and everyone else is out to get him.
I stop someone for speeding. Why am I bothering him? There are other people speeding. Why aren’t I stopping them?
Deflecting blame is one of the worst human behaviors I encounter. I understand we can all feel slighted from time to time, but for many people this is a way of life.
Apply this behavior to different situations and it’s probably not as bad, but this is my reality.
I agree. Deflecting blame or seeking external justification for our own failures is the biggest block to any kind of growth. There is no shame in making stupid decisions, as long as we learn from them and try very hard not to make the same stupid decision again.

In a few days time: 24 August.
Also, wtf lol
Yes I saw that, he is coming down for Stand or Submit a team strongman event being held about 2 hours from me.
I hear Juji is so dangerous, when he travels to Australia, the fatality rate of the country rises by x1.
I didn’t say the behaviour was desirable, just that it shouldn’t surprise you that it happens (as your examples shows) and is not worth your annoyance.
Maybe he can do something with some of our deadly snakes or spiders !!
Came to Darwin in ‘11 for a joint training exercise with the 5th RAR. Mission brief included this video (no joke):
My brother in law is Australian and was in the reserves for a time. Apparently he participated in some joint exercises and they enjoyed warning the Americans about fictional dangerous creatures.
The only one I can remember was the hoop snake which could, as the name suggests, form itself into a hoop and roll quickly along the ground to chase its prey. Which presumably included humans.
lol that is a good one, but no where near a dangerous a drop bears.
What Americans consider “dangerous creatures”, the Chinese consider “delicious meal”
