…monistat is for yeast infections, no? I think you mean minoxidil…

From what I understand, silk and satin are easier on hair in general and may prevent some breakage. Not sure if you can quantify how much it helps but I’m sure all the little things add up.

Next on the list is a microfiber towel just for my hair.

We can use your 2019 T-ransformation after pic (back) to track progress. Maybe you’ll will Most Improved on the strength of your hair alone next year!

I did mean Monistat. I know, I know, it’s weird. Lol I will post a picture of a thread if You need visual evidence.

I feel I can vouch for the effectiveness of satin/silk.
I haves the black folks hair. Lol. Cotton is great at sucking out the moisture content in hair. Be it European/straight textures or Afro/curly textures.

Some people have very closed cuticles, and natural oils that reach almost to the bottom ends of their hair, depending on length, that helps with moisture loss. So some people sleep without one and are fine doing so.

The higher your hair porosity is, the more you’d want to keep as much moisture in your hair as possible.

You can get one at Devacurl.com. Think it’s like 20$.

Okay, that’s it, I’m getting one. Although I love the feel of cool cotton, and I also love my flannel case in the winter (though that can occasionally give me a dreadlock, which while attractive as a style is less appealing as a singular event).

I line everything with satin/silk that comes into contact with my head. Some people get the super fancy ones, which I don’t think is necessary. I just get a decent one from Amazon for my pillow, and like a 4$ bonnet from Target.

I had to look up bonnets at Target, lol. I’m very white! So you do both, a pillow case AND a bonnet?

Maybe I could just do the bonnet and enjoy the cotton pillow. It would be nice to have my hair contained, rather than tickling at me as the curls do whatever the fuck they do that makes them feel like bugs against my face.

OTOH, not sure of husband’s reception to headgear at bedtime. lol

Well my wife’s birthday is coming up…

Only reason I double up is because I sleep like a maniac so sometimes the bonnet comes off.

If your husband doesn’t like the bonnet the pillowcase will do just fine.

If she likes stuff for her hair, maybe she will like it.

Not really in the 10+ years prior but she is starting to pay more attention to her hair care over the past few months. She even has a thing of dry shampoo (? ?) now.

Better put a gps in her car to be on the safe side.

Strange to think that these days, you just need to flick a setting on her phone, hopefully while she is doing her hair, to achieve the same result.

Well… better I guess. Why is she sitting in the exact same spot but moving up and down 6" or so?
