I appreciate that, man…but I could hardly move in that picture. At that point I wasn’t sure if I could even lift normally again. I couldn’t raise my arms over my head.

I posted this already…the log…detailing my issues.

That log is from three years ago. That’s not recent.
Yes, Mr. Holmes, that is the point. I documented my “issues” that led to setting me back for years while I went through rehab and recovery.
They have been on this site along with pictures for three years…which is why it is very strange that people like yourself who spend so much time critiquing every word I write somehow missed all of that.
oh sweet a hate party. count me in!
From two and a half months after the accident:
I think everything I was doing helped, including the conditioning work. I wouldn’t be here if my body hadn’t responded like it did after I lost consciousness. I’m still recovering but people mostly tell me they can’t tell I was even in an accident like that right now.
I still can’t do any overhead or high front pressing movements and I will have to build my hand strength back up to be able to hold the dumbbells again. I kept all of the supplements in as best as I could during this.
I apparently dropped some body fat during this since that is the comment I get most. Personally, I am still surprised I didn’t lose more muscle.
I’m trying to fill back out a little right now but don’t plan on hitting body fat levels like I have in the past again.
Any time I tried to discuss how I was healing and gaining after the accident, I was met with the same attitude I just got here.
They are now using the fact that I was gaining my muscle back as a point to laugh at.
Personally, I think that sucks…and I would never do that to someone else.
No one can stop the hate train, I guess.

Not when you are sitting in the boiler room, shoveling coal into the firebox.
You realize that when you went on your “vacation” from here, there was almost ZERO conflict outside of PWI.
You bring that here, and you love it.

John Holmes maybe. Hah, but seriously, I love how you think your remarks are actually witty. Really, my point was that people are asking for a RECENT log and not something from years back. We want to see all of this amazing RECENT progress you are making and not some rebound after an accident. Also, I have read through your log a few times before. I make a point to read through old threads to better contextualize recent ones so I don’t need you playing the whole “Funny how you seemed to have missed this” card, because I didn’t miss anything. You just provided an inadequate response to questions that have been raised.

Doesn’t come on here anymore. I keep tabs via FB though. He actually did a contest this past year, and just looked insane. Definitely miss his presence on here, he brought a lot to the forums.

IIRC, part of why he left was exactly the stuff discussed in this thread. People assuming that success is just from a bottle or DNA, and generally malicious attitudes towards doing well.

Yes, most would. You’re correct, you don’t need my or anyone else’s approval to post or “discuss” anything. Of course being an open forum, that means that we all have to play by the rules of the population (mob mentality maybe?). So if the mob appears to tire of the same threads (whoops, “discussions” and downtalking), then we’re both going to reap what we sow no matter how much you may want to think it’s some horrible conspiracy to stop you from spreading the gospel of the real truth about training and bodybuilding… but only on this site though.
S
Interesting. So you and this “mob” is trying to censor me?
I personally think laughing at someone for describing their progress after a life threatening accident is pretty foul.
You somehow took the fact that I mentioned this progress over the last three years and made that a joke?
Wow…that’s a bit low, don’t ya think?
Dude, no one is trying to censor you. Your martyr complex is running overtime lately. Anytime a newb to the site asks a question, either in a new post, or in the stream of a thread, that has been covered many times before, they get hit with “use the search function!” reply from various posters. Now while I’ve never echoed those sentiments myself, for a guy like you who has opted to rudely not answer people’s questions in the past because you already did in a thread several years earlier that they may not have seen, it’s kind of ironic that you get all pissy when people act similarly when you steer every thread back to the same few topics you seem to enjoy arguing about over and over. You wanna know why everyone you know exceeds the so called natty limits? Use the search function. You wanna know why so many people these days seem more aware of the presence of PEDs in sports and gyms? Use the search function… of course you don’t really want to know do ya?
Laughing at your “describing [your] progress?” Seriously? X, you’re not keeping a log here detailing your issues. You just get your feathers all ruffled whenever anyone doesn’t view you with the same awe you view yourself with (and most of the people on here do acknowledge your size), and then you repeatedly point out (without any real details or updates) that you’re “bigger and leaner now” in some rebuttal to any number of posters.
After seeing this quote countless times, it’s no wonder people think it’s funny. It’s become another one of your catch phrases. Are they making fun of your injury? Of course not, that is low, but you know already that. You’re just trying to play the sympathy card and throw me under your imaginary bus.
Yes, Stu.
Making fun of someone for pointing out my continual progress after nearly losing my life and a lot of that muscle from not being able to move in certain directions is making fun of me.
And it isn’t a good look for you.
Yes X. You’ll find plenty of people making fun of you almost losing your life all over the forums. This site is just full of complete a-holes and we all know it… Seriously man, just grow up already. It’s not a good look on you. You’re an adult for crying out loud.

Here’s something that just occurred to me about this thread.
I went to the gym and saw big guys and thought “Wow, those guys are big.” Didn’t really give any more thought. Now I wonder if those guys might be using.
So a thread that’s basically about hating on people who assume someone is using has caused me to think some people might be using.
Did you fall to the ground and grovel because they are big?

Ya’see, that’s the issue that some people seem to find unsavory. Seeing a ‘big dude’ in the gym is always cool, and to be honest, I much prefer training at gyms where the air is filled with guys who’s physiques echo the direction I was aimed at when I first found the iron. However, the reality is that PEDs are out there, and when some big dude gives you advice that consists of 5 sets of 5 exercises for each of two bodyparts trained each session, repeated for another 2 bodyparts later that day, and then a similar schedule the next two days, before starting all over again, and ‘forgets’ to mention the “supplements” aiding their recovery,… well, that’s where you’ve got to step back for a moment and ask yourself if it’s the best advice for your unassisted self.
Sure, we can always argue that individual genetics will be the deciding factor as to how someone responds to any training (there are going to be ‘big’ dudes that never touch gear), and yes, it is a big issue. BUT, to say that PEDs can’t have a huge impact is just sticking your head in the sand. PEDs don’t mean that individuals don’t train hard or eat smart, but it does change the game quite a bit. Just ask anyone who has trained and/or competed both with and without assistance.
The fact that due to the internet, print magazines (look at any issue of MD the last 10 years), and the openness of a lot of Pros in discussing matters, more people are aware of the true nature of the sport. If some choose to call other on perceived BS, it’s their choice. I’ve got a strong feeling that the majority of people don’t waste their time calling out and whining in the comments section of youtube.
