It wasn’t a horrific take it was actually common sense. But in todays clown world 10% the country lack common sense. And that 10% has convinced the rest that they are the majority and it’s made its way up to corporate America.

I am a bit skeptical of the new laws against this sort of thing having much impact on how often it actually happens (an incident where such a person does something inappropriate). I would guess most people that identify as trans dislike using public bathrooms, and a very small percent are voyeurs, or acting inappropriately.
There has been little to nothing done about little boys being sexually assaulted in men’s bathrooms, which out number the amount of women or girls assaulted in bathrooms by men, women or trans women. To me, this points to the bathroom bills more or less being red meat for a conservative base.
I am not at all saying that it isn’t an issue. It is, but I don’t believe it is being handled well by politicians.
I believe very few people support this. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered someone IRL that does. It is a fringe belief that is echoed more by the right than the left to make it sound mainstream on the left.

This topic comes up frequently on Reddit (a fairly left platform). Search something like “trans women and sports reddit” and take a look. It isn’t a popular belief from what I’ve seen.
You may be correct about a good amount of politicians or main stream media (I really don’t know), but I don’t think people are buying it (including the vast majority on the left).

Agreed. I’m extremely liberal and mostly spend my internet time in liberal spaces. The vast majority of libs and trans people don’t want biological guys competing against girls. It’s an easy target, though, just like how certain libs stupidly think 99% of white people in rural America are racist.
Like I said before here, anecdotally, it’s young lib white women who I’ve seen claim that there are no physical differences between guys and girls lol.
Since when has “most people” been the standard for the necessity of a law. Most people don’t murder.
